Lovely chapter, Com ... so glad the story continues. Between this and 'A Class By Himself' I have to wonder ... have you resolved some Mother issues of your own? ;-)

This is to Coastguard ... normally I don't engage in antagonism on the internet, but you picked the wrong story to have your little hissy fit over. Ever think that this might be a very personal, difficult story for Comsie to write? And what makes you feel so privileged to get ANY chapters for ANY stories written and completed at YOUR pace? This is all a gift Comsie's given us, and he has every right to provide it in his own time. Some things (like this amazing story) are worth having patience for.

No reviews?!? I LOVED this story! And I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I didn't see the ending coming. I can definitely relate to the closeted kid who turns his attraction into hatred in order to protect himself, and here it's perfectly expressed, and makes perfect sense when it's revealed to be, in fact, love. Loved the "rainy day" tie-in, too. Beautiful!

Another awesome story … and a very interesting one! The romantic and adult in me keeps thinking Kevin's insecurity is the only thing that can sabotage this relationship, but the pragmatist and self-preservationist in me thinks that Kevin still genuinely has something to worry about. I mean, what teenage gay boy such as Rory doesn't want to have sex with his cute boyfriend? Hehe … hell, overthink it, why not. It's what makes your stories so fun to read. Keep it up!

Well ... damn! That's an opening that goes for the jugular, isn't it? I'd love to read the story behind this. So many questions, and the promise of a very intense climax. Nicely done so far!

Wonderful stuff! You know at first I was inclined to agree with Timothy M. in that this didn't feel complete, but after letting it settle a bit and reading the last part again, I think it's actually pretty perfect as-is. I was hoping for a sense of closure, but Kevin is simply not into Chris, Kevin's been honest and forthright about it and there's no need for Chris to engage Kevin in dealing with anything ... it's Chris's problem. Sure, Chris could let Kevin know how much it hurts to hear about his exploits, but why? Maybe this new guy is what Chris is after, maybe not, but sometimes you have to keep your problems your own, and move on. Anyway that's how I see it. Though Doug sounds pretty damn adorable ... love to see where their relationship might have gone.

That was so satisfying, thanks Com. Not only do we get Brandon and Billy connecting again, but it finally feels like Billy's mature enough to deserve it. But something tells me he still has a price to pay for his past mistakes ... scared to see what happens when Jimmy finds out about Billy and Brandon getting cozy. This shit's intense!

Well you did it again! I agree with the other reviewers here that this is one of your best. I felt the love, betrayal, the affection, the attraction, heartbreak, etc., of each of the characters. The pacing was perfect, and the depth you explored the characters' feelings and actions brought their whole world to life. Such a warm ending, sad to say goodbye to these guys.
