  1. Me neither. Maybe I'm missing something important because it seemed like such a filler to me. I was just hoping for some normality because it's so rare that Dan and Vadim are in a different environment. I was so excited especially because it was Dan's home ground, so when it ended up in a kinky group sex I was just, you know, meh. However maybe I'm just missing the bigger picture. I didn't concentrate on the latter part of the chapter too much (and it's been days since I read it). I'm also looking forward to the meeting with Dan's family, and the possible conflicts that may rise. It fascinates me to see Vadim in an environment that is so alien to him. Well everything to do with Vadim continues to fascinate me period.
  2. Yeah suppose you're right. I guess it's just Vadim's personality that gives it a deeper feeling and makes me see more than there really is. I've always seen him so much more interesting than Dan. I thought she was really nice at first, she even hurt herself just so Vadim could leave her... So I was a bit mad when her character was entirely demonized and destroyed afterwards with the baby thing.
  3. Well, have to admit it does make me wonder when you see Vadim struggle with the idea of Dan's "casual sex, no big deal". It also does seem like Vadim was more emotionally responsive to sex with Hooch than Dan has ever been with Jean (and that little moment of insecurity Dan showed reminding that as long as Vadim loves him... was a bit surprising). I'm not sure what to think about it, it's just something my intuition warns me about. However, we'll just have to wait and see. Perhaps it was just Vadim's moment of peace with a younger, not as scarred version of himself, letting himself trust another person without fear, getting in touch with his own past... Ah, I'm rambling. By the way, did you notice this part? I wonder if we are ever gonna hear from her again, remember what Dan did? That would be interesting.
  4. So much sex lately, a bit too much in my opinion! It's cool that they're happy shagging but it gets a bit boring after a while. Ah, it's just that this story is very dear to me, and I wish something happened plot wise again. And I'm not sure what to think of Jean, I guess he's okay with his girlfriend/future wife shagging other men too right? Right? But well, at least Vadim is getting a bit better with his interaction with people.
  5. It's funny how this story wins pretty much all other stories (except a few) online and therefore after reading this most stories are so.... boring and...bad compared to this. That's the bad side.
  6. Yes, I highly recommend this one aswell. It's brilliant.
  7. http://www.aisylum.com/sonnyais/icos/story.html 39 chapters and on going. In the Company of Shadows is a story about two people who are thrown together as partners in a secret agency; their mission is to disband rebels who have propagated in a post-war future, but they have to deal with everything that comes with an unlikely partnership as well. Miscommunication, periods of distance, fleeting smiles and learning to trust someone when a person can't even trust himself, these are what they struggle with while still trying to do their jobs. One is a psychopath, called a murderer and monster and generally deemed subhuman by nearly everyone who knows of him; the other is an introvert, cold and emotionless and so lost in thoughts that he would agree that he can be called a monster of inhumanity. But what makes a person human; is it humanity, compassion, or is it simply the ability to reason? Can a monster be human, and general humanity breed monsters? While they learn about each other, they learn about themselves; where their loyalty and morality lies, and how learning to trust another person can be incredibly difficult, bittersweet, and rewarding all at the same time. Join Hsin Liu Vega (aka "Sin") and Boyd Beaulieu as they struggle to find where they fit in a world slowly recovering from war.
  8. The newest chapter almost broke my heart. Well, not the first time this story has made me cry (or close). I'm sure the authors appreciate feedback, so let them know what you think people, in case you are reading this (which I still strongly recommend).
  9. Thank you! I've been getting into Marquesate and Vashtan's work lately, but haven't known where to find more of military fiction. I will definitely check these ones out. Please, if you have any recommendations about more of stories like these I'd love to know. Especially if there are any long ones around (usually I just can't get myself into stories that are very short) online.
  10. There seems to have been a long update just yesterday! And you're quite right, it definitely is not for the faint hearted, just a warning. Although I hope the story description makes it clear.
  11. Special Forces is a co-authored work of miltary gay erotic fiction by Marquesate and Vashtan. The first of three cycles has been finished: Soldiers, and the authors have been working on the second cycle: Mercenaries. It is the epic story of a Scottish SAS soldier and a Soviet spetsnaz soldier. Two enemies who meet in the line of duty during the early days of the Soviet Union's last war in Afghanistan. Behind enemy lines respect and finally love grow ... but that's only the official version. The reality of these two men is dark, brutal, fuelled by aggression and insane lust. Steeped in pain and killing, with death as their shoulder companion, these Special Forces soldiers meet in 1980. Their intense hatred caused by rape, revenge and torture turning into f**ked-up lust and years of secret encounters in the rat-infested labyrinth of Kabul and the Afghan mountains. Time, despair and desolation smoothing down the sharpness of hatred, its venom drained with each physical encounter, the lust helping to form an understanding that only two men of the same kind can share. Enemy Mine and Brothers in Arms - on two different sides. This novel spans across over thirty years of their lives. It's harsh and violent, but life is cruel and they just do what they need to survive. http://www.marquesate.org/special-forces.html
  12. I don't think this story needs a sequel at all, it was a perfect ending for a perfect story. Twisted, is it wrong it made me giggle in this.. insane way? hehe. One thing I don't get though. How could the doctors not realize it's not David in the hospital if it's Oliver acting like Oliver. David's very intelligent, Oliver's not and therefore can't even try to imitate David. So that one doesn't make much sense. But all in all, I loved this story to death. Dom, you should really try to get this published or something. Don't waste your talent unless you really don't feel like writing anymore.
  13. Plus, I must continue. I've realised there have been some issues that made sense when we all thought Oliver and David were one and the same but do not now that we know they are not. Like how Frank thought Oliver's kissing skills were good and that he must have done that before. So what was that all about? There are more of these things but I can't be arsed to go through all the chapters again. I just feel not all the hints that Oliver and David were one person have been killed. I don't get it.
  14. I gotta admit one thing. I was really disappointed when I realised this story was not about dual personality because it would have been perfect. Interesting as f**K till the end. It's still interesting but I feel the story lost something after David and Olived officially became two separate people. Propably I'm the only one who feels this way but whatever. If there is only one more chapter coming up it must be a long one, so many loose ends. I do love this story, no matter what.
