Statue of sex crimes vary by state and it can be from 2 years to several years depending the type and age. AM's happened when she was 18 years old. Now she is in her early 30's. If she was a child, there would be no limit but as an adult the sate of limitations has expired. There are two places were trials for this crime are held, the courts and the newspaper. But AM must initiate and Tim will support the data. Tim is vindictive he willl go after them

AM's doctor understands AM's issues.. Tim has brought him unto date on what Tim believes is behind AM's problems.

You are a little ahead. For a prosecution to take place AM would have to file.

I believe Dad is doing that. there were questions why Benny resigned, why he failed to issue the subpoena. Questions started to be asked. Suspicions were being discussed. It will be unto AM but it isn't over.

Dad is playing catch up. But he isn't dumb, and has realized that mom had covered up. More importantly he's aware of who the boys are.

I believe Mom is on the right path. Moving her to see a doctor away from her home town was the best. I think as long as she has the promises to see Ann Marie, she will try her best to follow the doctor's orders

For the next month, a routine was established. Stephen and I went to work on Mondays. Mom went to the hospital to meet with her doctor. Dad came up Friday, went to the hospital to see Ann Marie on Monday then drove home. A breakthrough for Mom came when her doctor approved a visit with Ann Marie, and the caveat was Dad had to accompany her. I think the doctor could have told her anything she would need to do to see Ann Marie, and she would do it. Dad accompanied her for two more visits

Lies beget more lies. They walk with fear in their mind, they are not truly free. With AM in John's care they were safe, or so they thought. They didn't take into account someone like Tim and Stephen. They will be running soon..

If you ever raised chickens, you would have found chicken shit all over everything and about once a month you would have to clean the coup. I have done that a lot. These chickens tried to cover their shit, someone found where they hid it.

The information that Tim and Stephen have uncovered would be classified as hearsay. If AM told, then the case would take a different turn. The fact that they acted as they did confirmed their guilt.

I am old enough to see this when it originally played. What was interesting to me was that Costello was the brains behind this. Bruce was the brains behind the molestation and the weakest link was Benny.

You are right, one would think their conscience would have been enough for them to confess. I wouldn't be surprise if their were others.

They have one thing going for them, time. It has been 20 years, if AM doesn't push for justice they can avoid any jail time, but their reputation will cause them to move away. They won't be welcome anywhere in their home town.

If nobly one has committed the crime, it may have taken longer. As the number in the party increases the chance of discovery increases. In this case, Benny was the weakest link

Yes it has twist and turns but doesn't every family. Mothers generally hear the news first, then a decision does she tell dad or not. The answer isn't always clear when emotions are involved. All marriages straight or gay, must deal with facts, hearsay, and emotions.
