Arriving at the Louvre, we stopped at the desk to pay for our admittance. When she saw my credit card, she said she had a letter for me but she had to inform the new director I was here. Sometimes autocorrect makes errors. You are correct. Pierre's name for the woman is 'Mere" referring to grandmother I'll watch that in part 2 which is the next chapter

Ronnie took us to the airport. Pierre had to show him where to drive as the company plane was parked at a side airport where all private planes were parked. We got a tour of JFK in the process. Parking, Pierre invited Ronnie to check out the plane. I knew he did this as a way to thank him. I watched as they left accompanied by a stewardess. Saying goodbye to Ronnie, we boarded the plane. You are a wealth of information, for which I am grateful. I hope my readers read your comments. From what I remember, Napoleon was quite upset that the royal treasury was empty except for some coins. Arnaud's family, a respected friend of the King did what he was told. That knowledge was passed down along the male line. If Christian had his father's capabilities, I am sure he would have been the depository of the wealth that Arnaud managed. Arnaud was smarter than he let on. How many of those coins do you have? It is sad when you realize Arnaud's actions now that we have an understanding of Christians's capability. He gave his family their share of the royal treasury, including Christian who inherited his father's share. I am sure that wasn't a paltry sum.

Pierre has come to realize that family is more than the sharing of a name. He is now aware that he has brothers who will fight for him. He is part of a brotherhood that will go to any end to get him justice.

It is interesting when someone's back is against the wall, family isn't safe. Christian's action is possibly based on two facts. One, he is in financial ruin and two, he knows that Armand and Colin are very rich. I'm sure Arnaud had made Christian aware of the success of "ARROW"

Many times father's knowledge and capabilities are not passed on. There are various reasons for this. Remember, Arnaud wanted Christian to adopt his grandson. I have a feeling Arnaud knew his son would say no, and his backup plan was Armand and Colin.

Arriving home, I saw Colin’s van. “I think we are in trouble.” “Why?” “We were supposed to have dinner at the club,” Smiling, “I’ll give Pop a peanut.
