Yes, Harry's case is different a sense, If it wasn't for Carleton, he would have been on the street. Yes David had a similar experience. I don't remember how many now. I think the other boys would double up, it was Carleton who wanted each boy to have their own room.

In one of the earlier chapters. Alex mentioned about having more boys, that was what led Carleton looking for more bedrooms, i.e. attic

I didn't find anything about checking on the dogs. At least in my review I didn't see anything about dogs except in an earlier chapter the boys asked about a dog.

I read somewhere when a company did that. Some countries don't have copyrights and it is legal to copy a patent as kong as the sales are within that country. It's when they try to export to a country where a patent exists that they get in trouble,
