You are just saying what most people are feeling. Paul is his own worst enemy. He'll lose a son, the love of a son. He'll be miserable the rest of his life. He earned it and now he'll live it.

She is the only girl, probably close to her father. I'm sure she will be very cool with them. Not sue what she said to them but they left with out having dinner. I think that relationship will be a lot colder now.

This has to be very demeaning for a young person. To be set up to be ridiculed in front of family, is a dangerous blow to one's self-esteem.

These people are typical of those who feel they have the right to criticize , disown and comment on other people. What was the saying about looking for the stone in another's eye and not seeing the log in your own eye. I'll never understand how people can hurt children. Butch wouldn't put up with it and left, I say good for him.

I think they thought they had to show up because Evie invited them. They are a strange duck, if you ask me. I'm sure Paul told them. Probably didn't want to upset Evie, which they did. Strange family dynamics here.

You're welcome. I feel for the boys, at least Butch was aware of the snobbery. He left the room. How could anyone hold the boys responsible for the cold shoulder his parents gave him. Imagine the hell Pete would have lived through if he stayed.

Dinner was something I missed being away from home. We didn’t just eat, we talked through dinner. “This reminds me of dinner at Mom and Dad’s place. You have read that correctly so far. Pete is loved by his siblings except for Paul. I bet Alex will pressure Pete to go and live with him. I guess the couch at Pete;'s will be a bed for Alex?

Marsha is Evie oldest daughter. Alex is 13, so far yes, but you haven't met Paul or the parents yet. That is coming.
