Ronnie is the furthest away whereas Ritchie is a three-hour drive, I wouldn't be surprised if French becomes a second language
-
I will discuss the electrical back up system with Coliin and Charles. I'm sure Charles would have thought about it when he was designing the Home.
-
For the next five days, the boys sat around the breakfast table comparing notes, classes, and dorms. I think Tommy and Ivan may have realized that going to Yale was a penalty as compared with Ronny and Ritchie. I asked Ivan who would take care of his garden if he went to an out-of-state school. I didn’t need to say anything to Tommy, my question had him thinking about the Home. “Dad, although it would be nice to go out of state for school, unlike Ronnie and Richie, we have other responsibil

The safety of the children is the most important issue. The property is far enough from the front of the fence, so there is space and it's not like looking out of a window and seeing a fence., Grandmere will be a visitor.
-
You have deducted correctly. Ronnie was at his school, settling in. I think Grandmere will be. back. Keeping the kids at the Home learning French will need some thinking. One forgets how the children react to being fenced in. But I'm sure Pat has that thought out.(If she hasn't she will)

Who was missing, Ronnie wasn't there. I'm not sure if Armand will talk to his folks. I'm sure he will think about it and hopefully,he will realize that his parents were concerned as he was the only son. I'm sure he is focusing on how they must have felt. I think there is a backup system on the electricity of a fail-safe on the gate. Without electricity, the gate can't be opened. A plan for evacuation needs to be developed. Thanks for mentioning that.

Colin was right, he knew it would happen. The boys aren't too far from him except Ronnie. Richie is only three hours and a weekend commute is easy. I think his reaction is caused by Ronnie being far away.

I think Madame will come back. To date, Carlo, Geno and now Madame will be annual visitors. It wouldn't surprise me that French may become the language in Colin and Armand's home. College is hard for Armand. Wheras Colin, has occupied himself with the club and his business, Armand has only been occupied with his painting. and the children. So when the boys started college, he didn't like it. Colin was less involved in the family and was capable of making the adjustment

Thanks. I agree with Armand, Madame was a teacher, Do you think she will be a regular visitor like Carlos and Geno?
-
Yes and you know they will begin to face the problems of young adults.

Going back to the hotel, we checked out. Taking a taxi to the airport, we stopped and picked up Madame Lavigne. She was quite excited. “I have never flown before nor have I been anywhere except Paris. (Madame spoke only in French), I was hoping by the time she returned to Paris, she would be able to speak a little English. The seating arrangement was 3-2. The older boys sat in the two-seat side with a younger boy. I took a three-seat and sat with Carl and Madame Lavigne. Marie and Mary

I am very glad you are enjoying this story. Thank you for your comment.

Thanks, I am not a football fan exce[t for my home town. Even then I do not watch football. For clriaifaction, Ronniw will be a wolverine, sorry.
-
Ronnie will use every opportunity he has to go home, count on that. Armand will see if he can't go to his games, he will be able to watch it and even have Colin take a boy(s) on a plane ride. Let's see how much time Armand will have, he still has several boys and now two girls to take care of. He really is needed at home.
-
I'm glad, do you know Ronnie? Kidding, he had to be away from home for a reason.
-
Nonna will always live in Armands heart. She was a warm hearted individual who saw a son she didn't have in Armand. Armand will always go to the village at least once preyer and maybe more. The painting he has of her in his living room will allow him to be reminded of her.
-
Yes. I remember well going home after a two week holiday and staying home forth rest of the week. I called it catch-up time. I'm not sure about the family aircraft, more likely a private aircraft. Two of the boys are going to Yale, right next door, Richie is three hours away and I'll bet he will go to Yale after he earns his BA degree. The one who is the furtherest is Ronnie.and upon his graduation from Michigan he will probably play professional ball until the Coach at his high school retires then he will step into that slot. I don't think those boys will be far from home when they have completed their education.

Do you think a relationship that has developed as Armand and Colin's having children helps to create normality. Armand tends to be sensitive to the needs of the children where as Colin tends to focus on work but is very supportive of Armand. It would seem like a normal family. I think having the children from the Home being adopted fulfills a sensitivity to children that Armand has.
-
Armand will take more interest in Carl now that Carl trusts him. This will let Armand approach him and Carl will meet GG as all of the children have.
-
The Home is well protected. The firm that did the Gallery did a very professional job. I think there is another person who keeps an eye on the Home. He has been working there teaching.
-
Yes, he is gaining confidence in Armand and Colin
-
You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it

When you walk in the shoes of the younger boys, you have appreciated that you no longer walk in those shoes. The older boys understand where the younger boys came from and the hurt they carry. Their relationship goes beyond being brothers by adoption.
-
I think GG is talking to you. But I agree with you and I'll bet we will see GG helping like she did for Armand.

Are you a farmer? Kidding, My dad grew up on a farm and we always had a garden of some type. I remember hoeing when I was a child. He loved his farm as much as Ivan loved his small farm at the Home. I would sneak a fresh tomato from his farm and eat it like an apple. Best ever.
