Greetings---my first post on GA!
First things first: Comicality, you are freakin' awesome.
I wanted to post here because though I don't want to pressure Comsie at all, I fully empathize with Ricky. My back-story:
I've been an avid Nifty reader for many years. Somehow, I never did run across any Comicality stories until February 12. That was the day "New Kid" was last updated. I saw how many chapters there were and decided to read the first one to see if I might like it.......
Well, now I understand that reading Comsie's stories are the literary equivalent of a crack addiction. My addiction grew in intensity until I was biting off 6 or 7 chapters a day, even reading at work. I looked over the Nifty dates for each release and saw that "New Kid" began in 1998, and once went almost 2 years between updates. I knew the withdrawal would be hard when I reached the latest chapter. It was.
I found the shack. It was immediately clear that GFD was a very big deal, but I've never understood the fascination with vampires and I just don't read that stuff or get into it much. So I read "A Class" which of course is incredible. Then oh those withdrawal pangs again!
So, "Maybe I'll just read a chapter or two of GFD....." So much for not liking vampire stories.
So began another massive binge. Then "Savage Moon."
But then yes, I stopped. Self imposed "Comsie rehab." I know I will love "jessie" and all the others, and some day I will read them. But as Ricky and others know, these stories get in your soul, and when you reach the last chapter you feel like you're losing touch with these characters that are now so much a part of our hearts--and you don't know when you will see them again.
Comicality, you are hands down the best writer of teen male gay stories I have ever read, and I've read a lot. Thank you for all of it. "New Kid" is still my favorite, but I love them all so far. Like so many out there, I will patiently await the next update to each great story, and welcome it.
