a/n: I just wanted to quickly answer an important question about money flow. Vulpans are timid, Kaynen are territorial. They don't do space ships often. They pay Caspin through the nose for the information (how else can they set up trading across planets?). He also does occasional deliveries from port to port (since he's already out and about) which gains him some very rare goods (Nix has a voucher for an endless supply of seafood from one of these deliveries), and he charts unclaimed natural re

Thanks so much for the feedback! Dale always picks fights, so its not unusual for him to come home bloody and beaten up at times. Alistair does seek out some vengeance on behalf of Finian, which you'll find out more about later.

Nix has gone through so much that it is only recently that he is really starting to believe that they care that much about him. He also has a special kinship with Mycha, due to their similar sufferings. Mycha's just barely cracking out of his conservative-ish shell (he does have an open-minded and fierce core deep beneath his jittery and panicked exterior). As for Rios's journal, the true ages of Caspin and Mycha (in comparison to everyone else) has been a running joke between Robin and I (their ages will be revealed eventually, though). I thought it would be a fun opportunity to have Rios's thoughts echo some of the readers, as they are surely things that he has pondered, as well. Hee hee. - Thirdly
