Hi, again .....
Apologies, I'm not sure how to add an additional comment/answer on here so hope I've got it right.
When I said about wondering why it was still in gayAuthors, it was because the sexual side of the relationship between cj and Owen seems to have been almost totally subsumed in the political interest. Any other sexual activity between other characters seems to have vanished too. Now I'm not saying the sex within a story is the be-all and end-all of reading it ... far from it. And I certainly will stick around because I'm enjoying the story of cj massively. It was simply the fact that the absence of sex makes it more of a picaresque tale than is the usual fare on this site and Nifty.
On another tack, if I read correctly in a previous chapter, the reluctance to wear protective head-gear whilst riding a motorbike surprised me. I don't know what happens in the States, but here in the UK, it is illegal not to wear a crash helmet whilst riding a bike in the same way it is illegal not to wear a seatbelt whilst driving a car. Not only are those omissions illegal, were any injuries to result from not wearing them, then either your insurance would be invalidated or any compensation reduced drastically. Whilst I can understand the reluctance to wear crash helmets in many situations, I'm sure they have proved to have saved many lives. Likewise seat belts.
Hi, Carlos ....
I've followed the story of cj and his exploits from the very first chapter and have thoroughly enjoyed it tremendously. During the lulls between sections of the story, I've often felt withdrawal symptoms.
This latest stage - Georgetown - is troubling me. Whilst I'm enjoying following the life of cj, I've got to say that I'm wondering why this story is included in GayAuthors.org. It seems as if cj's friends have been abandoned - much to the story's detriment - and we appear to be simply following a fictionalised run-up to the 2016 US election. Your "voice" seems to dominate the plot.
As cj's character has been allowed to develop, I'm amazed that Owen is still with him. Cj has become far less interesting as a person and a pain in the ass as a boyfriend. Why would Ozzie want to stay with him? As the author, you seem more concerned with the politics in American society than the realistic development of a young gay guy.
I'm still interested and will follow cj's story as long as it continues - but I do question its relevance and place in GayAuthors.
