In the morning, Tommy got up at nine for a shower, because he smelled like sex and sweat from last night. He didn’t know what time Toni had gotten home, but she was laying in bed on her phone when he stopped by to look. “What’d you do last night?” he asked his sister, walking through her room and picking things up to look at for less than a second before putting them back down. She shrugged from her bed. “Movies, pedis.” “Bull-fucking-shit. What else?” “Well, I’m not telling you

Tommy Fish lay wide awake in bed, staring blankly at his bedroom door with eyes that pleaded for sleep of which they couldn't achieve. Sleep, he needed to sleep. He had been kept up from nine last night to what was five thirty in the morning now, all because of the raven that tapped its beak against the window behind him. Only an hour of sleep. It was persistent, its loud tapping of the rattling glass the only sound in the whole house aside from Toni's wall clock clicking once every second t

"What do you want," Tommy asked, looking at the shadow with his eyes, watching it as it paused to a stop in front of him, its large black beak turning slightly to the side. Its beak opened only a crack, and human screaming of men and women, children and infants, leaked out. Screaming, and sobbing, and maniacal laughing that all filled Tommy's ears with a rotten, disgusting feeling, and replacing the ticking of Toni's clock- loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood, yet only wrecking havoc upon Tommy. Tommy Fish, a guy with a talent for relentless bullying and hatred, gets help from the devil to bully his favorite kid, indefinitely.

Chapter Six: Disappointed Liam got out of the car and shut the door, standing beside it as Carlos walked up to his house to unlock it. They were just ten minutes from the bar, but Carlos skipped it, because he felt that Ashe was a bad influence. Not as much as Sam, but he wasn't fond of Ashe's drinking, which reflected on Liam. That was why Liam was upset about them skipping it; he wanted a drink. Could use it. "Come on," Carlos called out and opened the front door. He looked back at

Eight o’clock at night, Ashe was passed out drunk in the kitchen and James had fallen asleep watching the kid show, because it was less than exciting. Liam was about to pass out, too, until Noah started talking to him. “I saw the grave,” he said. Liam looked at the boy. “What grave?” the man asked, although he knew which one. David’s. He’d seen how long Noah had stared at it, like it were some foreign thing from another life. It technically was. Noah knew he knew, too, because he didn’t

The child lay in his bed, curled up into a fetal position as he stared at the door across from him. It wasn't a door. It was a giant flab of flesh, glowing like when you put a flashlight under your hand, and breathing like a lung. It breathed slowly, filling with air and then flattening out. Then it breathed again. The boy was too scared to close his eyes, so he stared at the door that never left his room. It had been there for months. Haunting the child. Traumatizing him. As always inevitab

When a father's son goes missing, he has to venture into a world of nonsense and horror to bring him back.

Chapter One: Hide and Seek Beep beep beep beep- Liam reached over the bed to shut off his alarm. Then he lay in bed for a few long moments, his eyes heavy and begging for more rest, his mind just as weak. Waking up at five in the morning just to write was the biggest mistake. He never got anything written with his head throbbing in lack of sleep. This morning was even more unforgiving because he had passed out drunk last night, and his head was already paining. Get up, Liam

Liam Taylor is finally at the stupor of his life. His deadline is approaching for his latest true crime work, his best friend is any and all liquor, and his real best friend is his supplier. He's still haunted by what could have been, and what should have been, after the event that tore his family apart. That all is, until a young boy comes into his midst: his dead twin brother, Noah. And a serial killer with a new potential victim.

Chapter Four: Joseph Carter James and Ashe closed shop early. “You’re saying that this is Noah?” Ashe asked skeptically, looking at the child that spun himself on a bar-stool. “Believe me, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this since yesterday- I… there’s no other explanation than… it being him,” Liam said. James leaned forward on the bar. “Alright, so if it’s true, there ain’t no kids missing around here,” he said. Liam nodded. “I know. So either we’re too late,

Chapter Three: Shoes The child ate his cheeseburger quickly, scarfing it down like there was no tomorrow. Liam couldn't even eat, his burger still wrapped and sitting in his lap while he processed everything. This child, who was Noah's perfect mirror image, had dug himself out of said child's grave. Noah, who'd died fourteen years ago. Who'd been murdered fourteen years ago. Liam put his burger back in the McDonald's bag. The boy sat on his knees in the truck, leaning his shoulder ag

Chapter Two: Resurrection The boy didn't say anything. He didn't speak or move, besides putting a hand in the orange juice puddle. Liam slowly stood up, watching the child, who kept their special blue-grey eyes on his own grey. “...Stay right here. Don't move, okay?” Liam watched the child for any sign that they were going to bolt, or if they were even listening to him, but the boy did nothing. The man left the child to his bedroom, where he snagged up a blanket and brought it back

https://youtu.be/Hu0xlyLwK7Q Chapter Twenty: Finale Arty sat in the peace of Jack’s study, with his laptop on his husband’s desk. Geil was asleep in his room, his medicine having made him drowsy. Daniel was still out with Laura, doing whatever they had decided to do. So, Arty had been using this time to look at the things Cameron sent to him. An accident report from Daniel’s previous orphanage in Scotland. The file was confidential, but Cameron had gotten passed that. May 2

Marriage is supposed to be 50/50, but Jack's already had a previous marriage, so most of the effort went into that. Now he just thinks that providing for the family is good, and that nothing is wrong. He's sort of blind because of his ambitions. Also, the hospital did call Jack, but he keeps his phone off for work. Aside from that- we'll get to learn more about Laura's "disappearance" in the next chapter, aka, the finale. Thank you for your long comment! I liked reading your though on things. -
“We’ve managed to resuscitated him and he’s stabilized,” the doctor spoke to Arty in the hallway of recovery rooms. “But his oxygen was cut off for a long time.” Arty dragged his hand down his face, sighing. “...You don’t know how this happened?” “No, we don’t. We’re really sorry.” “You said this happened around four?” Arty dropped his hand to his side, suddenly feeling like he hadn’t slept last night, when he had. “Yes, sir.” Four. Four p.m. That was about the time that Arty

The next morning consisted of helping his mom, Rene, move furniture. “What are we doing with this? Mom?” Roman asked while sliding his parents’ heavy sofa across their living room. His dad was at work with Jeff until four. It was eight thirty in the morning and Roman’s eyes were still puffy with sleep. “Getting it out of here. Austin’s been sleeping here and his feet-” “Oh, ew, I get it.” Austin was Roman’s older brother by a decade and a half. Married and divorced, engaged to a

“Man, it’s been so long since we’ve hung out,” Kaiden said and tossed his lanky arm around Joe’s shoulders. The noirette nodded, looking down the dark alleyway they used to take as a shortcut with Morrison to the more frowned upon part of the city. “Sorry.” “Well, it’s okay, just like… why’d you stop hanging out with us and stuff?” Kaiden looked at Joe. The noirette shook his head and shrugged. “I guess I… I told you, it’s kind of dumb to keep doing all that childish shit.” Kaide
