It was chapel on Monday, and Henry was as nervous in tutor group as a Roman martyr before a lunch appointment with the lions. ‘You okay, little babe?’ asked Ed solicitously. ‘Nope,’ was the twitchy reply. ‘Why, oh why, did I volunteer for this?’ Henry had consented to take a Monday assembly. ‘After all, Atwood,’ the Head had said, ‘your father is a vicar and Miss Prendergast says that you’re her best pupil. It’s good experience. I’m sure you’ll be fine. The week’s theme is “Toler

Are these the same versions that are on Awesome Dude? Glad they're holding up still. No, these are updated, corrected and further revised to take account of the later stories that were added on. Sort of retro-fitted. 🙂

Henry Atwood spent most of the morning brooding in the common room. It took three consecutive mugs of coffee for him to come to a decision, so he was well wired and pretty twitchy when he got to his feet and crossed the field again to Temple House. This time he went up to the top floor, to the house prefects’ common room. There was only one boy present. ‘Hey, Bounder.’ David looked up and gave a ghost of a smile. Henry continued, ‘Nasty bruise on your rather classically chiselled cheekbone

Yeah, I was a little proud of that crack by Peters. 😏

‘Get outa my way, you little queer!’ A shoulder charged Henry in the back, sending him spinning into a doorpost. A star of pain went supernova behind his right eye, and he ended up hard down on his bum in the upper corridor. He heard his assailant pound a little further along the corridor, then stop. ‘Outa my way, Cornish,’ snarled the same voice. ‘No,’ came a surprisingly cool and determined reply, ‘cos first you have to go back, pick up Henry and apologise.’ ‘Me! Apologise

Henry Atwood is still in the sixth form of Medwardine school. He is intrigued by new arrival, Rudi Burlesdon, red-headed, sullen and alienated. Henry likes to help, but once again gets way out of his depth, for in Rothenia a new spirit is rising and Rudi is not the boy he appears to be.

Next up (soon as it’s tidied) Henry gets mixed up in international affairs.

‘I wish I’d asked him if he was crappy at cricket too,’ mused Henry. ‘I wish you’d asked him what the afterlife is like … or if there’s intelligent life on other planets,’ retorted Ed. ‘I’m willing to wait to find out the answers to those questions. I’ve come as near death as I want for the next fifty years at least, thank you very much.’ Ed mused in his turn, ‘You liked him a lot, didn’t you.’ Henry gave a start, ‘Jed? Yeah, he was really something, and you had your dick in

Henry looked at the beautiful naked boy beside him. ‘Where am I?’ ‘With me. I am so sorry Henry. I couldn’t get through to him.’ Jed moved closer, he sat behind Henry and enclosed him within his legs, bringing his warm body close to Henry’s back and resting his cheek on his shoulder. He hugged him tightly. ‘Where are the others?’ ‘There,’ Jed replied, and Henry could feel the small kisses the boy was imprinting on his shoulders and neck, trying to comfort him. Henry looked and indeed

‘Dad?’ asked Henry, ‘Who lives in Launde House in East Hamme?’ ‘Er … I should know the answer to that question,’ Dad replied, ‘It’s a family called Macmillan. I haven’t had much to do with them, they’re Methodists. Why do you ask?’ ‘It’s part of my graveyard project, I’m trying to map burials from particular gentry families.’ ‘Oh, right. Interesting. I think the Macmillans have been there for a few generations. Old Mrs Macmillan lives there now. She’s a friend of Dr Mac. I think t

A week of school took their minds off things. Ed in particular was in training for the hockey season, and talked Henry into coming to the training sessions. ‘You need to do something physical to distance yourself, and the Under 18s can barely field a B team.’ ‘Great. So they’ll take anyone, even an inept queer like me. Well thank you very much Edward.’ So, much to the amusement of the lower sixth, Henry donned a jersey and shorts and took to the field. It was really tough for a slight

‘I didn’t mean to out you y’know,’ Henry’s conscience was bothering him. ‘I know that, Henry.’ Ed smiled. ‘You didn’t know … couldn’t know, I was coming back.’ It was the second week of their reunion. They had already had one blissful weekend at Trewern, and they could look forward to many more. Andy and Matt had commanded the attendance of both of them in Highgate at exeat for the week, and Mr and Mrs Atwood had raised no objections. In the meantime, they had heeded Worsman’s advice a

Andrew, Matthew, you could have saved us a whole lot of grief by stepping up to the plate immediately after Ed petitioned for care There was a reason T’bug. Chapter 15 will reveal.

Henry was puzzled for a while as to where exactly he was when he awoke the next morning. But the warmth and the smell next to him was Ed’s, so he snuggled back into him, to be wrapped in his arms and embraced. His buttocks enjoyed the feel of Ed’s morning erection running up his crack. The phone beside the bed burred softly. It was Nathan. ‘You guys getting up soon? Matt and Andy want to see you sort of urgent.’ Henry put the receiver back and told Ed. They got up and made their morning abl

Will was waiting for them in his big silver Audi outside the chaplaincy apartment the next Tuesday. Henry and Ed had bags to sleep over on the boat for two nights. Mum and Dad had been fine about it, indeed positively excited, to the point where Henry was getting suspicious. ‘Love’s bloody young dream,’ he frowned. ‘What do you mean, Henry?’ ‘Well, ever since we got together, they’ve got all romantic. It’s transference. They’re rediscovering romance vicariously through us. That’s

For the background of Prince Fritzy, you need to go back to No 1 in the series, The Heart of Oskar Prinz, T’bug. Worff it, as Justin would say (that’s No 2 in the series).

Things were different after Hnery and Ed’s sex that night. A barrier in their intimacy had been crossed, and if they were close before it, they were a couple after it. Strelzen was a perfect setting for their romance, it was almost as if they breathed it in with the summer air in that beautiful city, where golden day succeeded golden day. Mum and Dad learned to expect to find them snogging on the sofa of the apartment, and they got used to it. Mid morning on the Wednesday, Micky and N

It was the first free day in Strelzen, a Saturday. ‘Any plans … no, I needn’t ask, Henry, I can see the sheaf of markers in your Fodors.’ ‘She knows you too well, Henry,’ sniggered Ed. ‘Perhaps you can go with Dad to look over the church first? He’ll be ready at ten, he’s meeting Mr Neave the warden and Mr Vincent the Director of Music. I’m sure he’d like a bit of company. Besides, if you’re in the passenger seat, Henry, there’s a chance he won’t get lost’ ‘Okay, but we’re not st

'Rotty gang' Nice. Coming up soon, Doc.

Henry was fast asleep in Ed’s lap when the Volvo reached Dover for the night crossing to Antwerp. Ed woke him up. The car queued for a half hour before the loading began. After that, they locked it up and headed for the upper decks and the cafeteria. The cannier travellers had already appropriated the more comfortable seats in the lounges. Dad had saved some money by not booking cabins. ‘You can’t sleep in them, so you might as well doze in a seat,’ he said, a little defensively. ‘Dutch

Rachel left them on the Tuesday, much to everyone’s relief, apparently even Richard’s. By Monday it had become very difficult for anyone to find anything to talk about with her, apart from the most bland commonplaces. Hers were the sort of opinions which were not negotiable. They were stated and you either accepted them or risked the appalling rudeness of downright contradiction. She had opinions on everything. Her ideas on private schooling, for instance, might not have been unpalatable to

Drawn from life (in part) as you might guess

It was the most glorious week in Henry’s life, ‘… so far’ as he added, when he told Ed that. ‘Oh yeah .. the bum stuff is yet to come,’ grinned Ed. ‘That isn’t what I meant.’ Ed just laughed. They went no further in their paranormal investigations, and it seemed that the paranormal had lost interest in them. Their sex play continued at a subdued but very enjoyable level. The only panic was on Saturday when Henry fell asleep in Ed’s arms. They awoke at ten to the sound of the vacu
