The hotel pool was big, much bigger than Patrick had anticipated, although he had Googled photos of it beforehand in order to have a mental layout of the place memorized in his brain. He wanted—no, he needed—to know each and every exit route, just in case he had to bolt quickly. Unlike his better half, he had never been to this hotel before. In fact, although they ow
Patrick William Harrison has a life that's pretty close to perfect—at least to the outside eye. A wealthy family, a handsome husband and a beautiful multi-million dollar home. But his world spins out of its orbit when he discovers his husband's unsavory secret one day, and he's left with a difficult decision to make. As he tries to navigate his new reality he taps into a whole new level of himself that enables him do some pretty dark things to the one he claims to love.
The famous Persian poet Rumi once said, “Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.” An ex-fling had said that to Andrew once, post-coital and all doe-eyed and sweet, but the quarterback didn’t understand what it meant and made some type of clever response back in order to change the subject. Pacific. I probably won’t get around to posting today unfortunately, got slammed with an unexpected work situation. But I’ll definitely post the next chapter tomorrow. Sorry about the wait.
I have to admit, I no longer know if this is my story or your story! That was brilliant, per usual. You're getting me excited and pumped about the story and I already know how it ends 😂 Cheers, thanks for the awesome feedback full of amazing insights.
Si, I request delicious virtual sugary treats for all my hard work on the keyboard. On a serious note I am just grateful you are interested in reading the story and take the time to comment, that's all the appreciation I need.
You guys are very demanding! 😄 I've gotta have a life you know. But next one is out on Saturday morning at 8:00, and the finale will be out on Sunday morning, so not a long wait. I expect pats on the back for this fast turnaround time.
