All according to plan! For, at least.

Quite a question. But when a dead body turns up, and illegal activity is found when searching that person's home for the serial killer's motive, that could lead to even more baddies being discovered and arrested. And I don't know, man. This receptionist seems like a sweet and caring guy.

And Christmas lights. gasp Man cave! Man cave! Epic man cave! Christmas lights and shoes hangings from the rafters by the shoestrings! I'm installing a bar. Don't tell Noah.

Sometimes, we must dip our toes into the darkness to reflect on why we stay away. Evil lurks in the muddiest of waters, as well as the waters we have yet to discover. We can hope light may shine to reveal darkness's intentions and reasons, but until it does, we must remain wary and cautious. Huh. That came out of nowhere. Where's my Fun Dip? snooooorrrrrrt Ah, much better.

Keep these teehees and hahas in mind, Doc.

Happy to pique an interest, Bill! I do have an idea deep in my "to-write" pile to use as an extension to this piece.

“Riggins!” Peering up from the laptop, Detective Shaun Riggins spotted the chief. He judged the man by the stern yet gloomy expression. “Another one?” “Main and Twelfth. Get to it, now.” Over the past three months, the city has been plagued. Thirty days passed, and another body showed up. The case left him baffled. In the ten years he had served as the lead detective, nothing like this occurred. He had nothing but spare time in the sleepy town. Shaun even managed to crank out a n

It's why i like the events around here. Anthologies and Secret Author either allow me to try something new or learn about another unhinged corner of my imagination. Huh... Too many corners. Need more support beams.

A Skater's Everlasting Dance

How long can our dear skater last? Knowing the natural laws of searching for something, it might be a while before another shooting star could appear. -

Still many more prompts to write this month. I could be more depressing. -
Maybe one day we'll hear what happened to Manny.

I love an open-ended ending. It allows readers to believe how they want things to go, creating a multitude of opportunities. For me, I envision Patrick finding out about Manny's kidnapping, leading to a rescue mission. Always lovely to see your comments 💜

Much appreciated, and thank you again for editing on last minute. Let me get the ego bike pump and say you're the best.

Alone on a frozen lake, he circled nature’s rink. For thine penance, I must dance. For those whose lives were lost, I must embrace the cost. For I rolled the dice, therefore the world has turned to ice. With an elegant spin, he caught the various glares from the distant cliffs. They were watching. They were always watching him. I made this decision. I wished upon a shooting star. I, and I alone, caused this. Gliding, he took a moment to tuck in his favored scarf. Its leng

“Thank you for coming, Mr. Brooks.” I crossed my arms as the clean-cut agent gestured to a chair. Cold air and bland gray walls reinforced the unsettling, institutional-like feel of the room. “Sorry,” he said, barely withholding amusement. “Accomodations could’ve been better, but I assumed it would be more convenient for me to come to you. My office back in DC looks the same, practically.” “N-no, this is fine.” I nervously glance at the mirror, then the security camera in the ceil

Sitting in an interrogation room, Manny is unsure as to why the Department of Homeland Security wants to talk to him. At least, not until a flash drive is set on the table. His time in Castine, Maine was about to be used against him.

Death Comes. Wait. I Misspelled That.

Thanks for readin', Chris! I'm having a blast with these prompts. Coming soon (in, like, three chapters), some Twitch viewers have given me some prompts of their own. Whoooooo they got creative. A hot night with a hunky Death? Don't be afraid to repeat yourself, Doc. -
Day After Day, Until Today

That kid better have picked the Double-Stuffed. He's stuck with the exact same food. No switching to birthday cake or peanut butter flavor. -
“What do you mean you’re dating Death?” Shrugging off Ralph’s consternation, James continued picking at the Chex pieces in the trail mix. “Just like it sounds, man.” His roommate pursued the topic. The obnoxious blond blew a raspberry and curled on the couch with his bowl of popcorn. “No, like… What do you actually mean? Death? Does the dude look like death? Pale skin, thin as a skeleton? I thought you liked bigger guys with bellies?” “No, I’m being quite literal. Death. The reape
