    Chapter 19

Another amazing chapter! The playful and loving banter amongst the 4 is so fun. Can't wait to see how the shadow orbs advance the story!
  2. As a military man, I want to speak on Mike’s behalf. Today LGBTQ service members are slowly becoming more common and accepted. I believe this story is set approx 2008…a few years before Obama ended Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Besides Mike coming to grips with his own sexuality, he has to decide if it’s worth risking his career before it even starts. Also, while military officers are trained on strategies (organizational, national, international)…the opposite is true regarding personal politics. Any military member who is seen to be doing things to promote themselves at the expense of others is quickly weeded out. I’ve never met anyone as good as Corbin at interpersonal politics and strategy, but Mike has no idea how to play that game. I HOPE they find a way to make it together!

    Chapter 14

WOW what a great chapter! ❤️ Heartwarming for Jacob to reconnect with his classmates and to know that Q still cares. And that his new friends are jealous. Can’t wait to find out who the shadow is watching over Akizio!
  4. I remember reading many months (years?) ago that this is very autobiographical. Is that still the case? If so, this must be very challenging for you to write this… Or perhaps cathartic. Either way, @jwolf, you had one hell of a college career, and I can’t wait to read how it ends!
