"If you're still wondering what to get me for a graduation gift -." Miles Standifer stepped underneath the awning above the entrance to the campus library and wrestled his umbrella closed. He shook water from it and tossed it into a nearby trash barrel. "Get me a fucking umbrella. Mine is shot to hell." Miles Standifer is due to graduate in less than 24 hours. He stops by the campus library shortly before closing to return a book he borrowed months ago. While there he sees the professor he's been crushing on since sophomore year. He works up the nerve to finally approach him, but when he goes to open his mouth, he cannot speak. 4. I think you did a great job of capturing the dread of what it feels like being in a high school locker room. You did a great job of creating the atmosphere. A part of me loves how comfortable Nic is in his sexuality but another part of me is worried about him. He is young and I worried he will be taken advantage of. Maybe I will be proven wrong. I think Jake is going to be discovering some parts of himself that maybe he isn't ready for. I just hope he doesn't lash out at Nic in the process.
  5. What an exciting start to a story. I love the main characters. Jake is not your average jock and Nic seems very intriguing. Can't wait to read more!
