    Chapter 3

Ok. I've now re-read the whole series three times up to this point. Such good writing and storytelling. Waiting impatiently for the next installment. It is fun to see others' "predictions." I thought I would toss some tidbits out there, based on my re-readings. Remember, Scott said he was a descendant of Vlad through Opa, his grandfather, and that that family was the historic ruler of Dracul--i.e. king--that had been prophesied but no one expected anymore? The late Baron's butler called Gareth "duke" rather than baron, which Greg picked up on. Haven't they stopped having Dukes? Count Nardone referred to Greg as Supremo at dinner. What does that mean? And on a different tack, Prince George said he hadn't been to bed with a man, in I believe, 300 years. Perhaps Jake's silver eyes might be a signal for that. And what is Marco's background as a changeling through Don Nico, and why does he want to serve Greg? Of course, I could be wrong. Can't wait to find out what's going to happen. Jess

    The Hatching

Thank you for another story set in Pern. I grew up reading the original stories and it was a wonderful treat to see that you had continued the saga with your own focus. Really well-written and engaging. I've read your books several times for the pleasure of being with the dragonriders again. I look forward to where they go after this.
