I'm all caught up. What a great story so far. Like always this has the MrsGnomie signature: Great characters, good story, amazing dialogue, and flawed but attainable characters. Very much looking forward to seeing this unfold.

Oh boy...I'm feeling the butterflies

He's slowly getting over each of the hurdles. It's hard, but he's doing it. I think Kyan is damn lucky to have Perry and Jessica by his side. The entire family actually, but I think those two are and will continue to be paramount for Kyan and his kids.

As a kid who lost a parent when I when I was seven this story gives me a new perspective to the life my mother went threw. Very real. And you're right, it got better.

Great second chapter. There is a whole world after death. Money, kids, life. It's never easy. You did a great job of bringing that reality to life.

Late to the party but glad to see you're posting again

I know 9 months is hard to swallow but it's not completely unrealistic when you consider the fact they don't know each other. Loren is just a guy Jay sees every now and again at the bar. I kind of like it isn't one of those things that happens instantly.

I binged this story when I first found it but I skipped the comments. I now know that was a mistake. I think this second read through will be so much better. This is such an amazing story.

It seems a lot of reviews are from reader familiar with the authors work. There are many references to past work regarding her technique and style. I'm new to here. I right this review knowing none of her past work. Jay and Loren are my first experience but my god, what an amazing experience. If I was to compare it to coffee or wine, this story would be full body. The story and characters are written so easily and yet with so much complexity. If you read this story (including the main story) you will: Fall in love with these characters Fall in love with the kids Be absolutely devastated at various points Smile so big it hurts Want to murder multiple people Hug your phone Need several days to recuperate once you're finished. Now I'm going to read the rest of her stories and see what the fuss is about.

Unsurprising

Job well done! There is NOTHING I can add to any of the other comments. You handled this final chapter amazingly. It's better than I had hoped.

These brothers are quite the act. There hasn't been a moment when they're all together that i haven't loved. This one probably tops it.

The chapter we all needed. Favorite part was Jay and Taylor sneak attacking Derek and his teammates. It embodies how wholesome Jay really is. Except he ran out and left them to clean it all up LOLOLOL. Thank you for giving us this piece of Jay and Loren. I'm counting down the days until we get the final piece of this puzzle.

Another great chapter. Watching Loren and Jay evolve as parents is a lot of fun. Kind of sucks knowing this is a short story. I think I could read about these two forever and never get bored.

I don't know how you do it but each chapter and story always seems to be a little better than the last. This chapter expressed great joy which came across like a tidal wave. I love Loren's POV because of the way he processes everything. A previous commenter touched on it, but I relate to the way he thinks and it cracks me up. He's all over the place yet ends up where he needs to be. I'm happy for Jay but I'm over the moon for Loren. This is the life he always deserved and if it was left up to him he'd miss out on it. I'm glad you've decide to do a bit more with these guys, I could read them forever especially now that they are dads. I would come back every week to watch them with twin girls LOL

Loved this author when I first found her on another website. Came where when I realized there was more to read. This story alone made me create an account. Jensen and Nolan are so well fitted together while being very different. I'd love to read more of them.
