  1. Thank you for finding your way back @VBlew
  2. Multiple times 😉
  3. Because I deleted it.
  4. The party thinned as parties in houses like this do: some guests settling into armchairs with port while others drifted toward coats, car services, and the yawn that signals rich punctuality. Daniel shook the last hand, accepted the final compliment disguised as a question, and let the evening release him. He took the stairs, one hand lightly gripping the banister, the other brushing the wall for balance as he ascended. The hallway was quieter. Recessed lights dimmed to their nighttime
  5. I feel like I'm on hiatus from my psychological thriller "era", but...good to see three of my projects here. Hopefully I can finish the one on temporary hold and eventually squeeze "The Malady Of Hunger" in here, too. (Insert evil laugh). Thanks for the shout-out @Cane23
  6. Glad you pointed it out. That was actually my fault since, apparently, I selected the wrong tag when I posted the story. I'll see to changing it. Thank you @Cane23
  7. Wonderful changes overall 💙 I wish the GayAuthors staff a prosperous new year. It's been a pleasure to be part of this wonderful community, truly!
  8. Dear @Madii I can't say much other than thank you for giving my work your time. I've definitely been on a learning curve and hopefully, with each new project I've evolved in my journey as a writer. I hope you enjoy the rest of my work. Old and new! Sincerely, Casual W.
  9. From you, we want both. We're greedy. 😜
  10. Is he now...? Are you trying to have my readers enter "panic mode"? ☠️
  11. And I took it as such. ❣️ I know how passionate you were about this story and how Blake's character resonated with you. And even though Blake's unlikely pairing didn't meet your expectations, remember that Evan's character was never meant to be a replacement so much as a gift from "the road". A lighter presence to keep our boy entertained and out of trouble. Blake ultimately choosing the road doesn't mean the end of his story with Jackson. In fact, the telephone conversation scene at the end was purposely put there to show that, regardless of their choice to move in different directions, their love kept thriving. Even Cash acknowledged there was a space inside Jackson's heart that was reserved for Blake and Blake alone. Their story was never about whether or not they would end up together. But about who they became along the way because they loved each other. I choose to believe they turned out better men because of it. And I'm sure Cash wasn't building a house that big just for two people...😜😘
  12. You're definitely reading the story I'm writing 😉 A pleasure to read your assessments @FanLit
  13. Glad to have you "rejoin" the ride @Modified Cub
  14. Well, you know...chaos is my middle name.
  15. Poor Evan 😔 (runs to cover his ears)
  16. Daniel eased the bedroom door open and climbed the short flight to the mezzanine, peering over the banister as if the living room might flinch. Below: still life. The roses had slumped into their own beauty, petals heavy and dark. The candles were a city of stubs. The table was cleared, plates stacked, glasses aligned, linen folded into an obedient square. No shoes by the sofa. No cardigan draped over the chair. No Nora. The silence had a grit to it, like dust in sunlight. Visib
  17. Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop in with a quick note and a big thank you. I’ve been a little quiet lately because I took a much-needed creative break to recharge and fall back in love with the work. Stepping away for a bit has really helped refill the well, and I’m grateful for your patience while I caught my breath. In the meantime, Down In The Holler is now available on Amazon Kindle and for purchase, if you’d like to support my work or just spend some more time in that world. Every download, review, and recommendation genuinely helps more than you know. The good news is: I’ve started writing again. If all goes well, I should have new things to share with you over the next few weeks, and I’m really excited about what’s taking shape. Thank you for sticking with me, for reading, and for caring about these stories. Hope to see you very soon in the pages again. ❤️
  18. Thank YOU @dboggs9700 for keeping the story and characters alive!
  19. A beautiful sentiment. Thank you for your beautiful comment and for following this journey, @Lisa Until next time, happy readings!
  20. A pleasure to see your sweet comment @AlexLittel keep reading. 😉
  21. While grounded in reality, my stories are still fantasies. And I'm not ashamed to admit that while Malik's...appendix might be stimulating as a fantasy, I would probably "prefer" something less...challenging in real life. 😉
  22. To quote my own character: "And when you beg me to stop?" He chuckled darkly, rolling his hips in slow, torturous circles. "I'm just gonna fuck you harder." 😏
  23. I'd say it's definitely a "bundle" of all those things. I've...been around. But I do find research an exciting part of writing (I did a lot of it for DITH).
  24. You can @Scrounger62 Thank you for giving "Down In The Holler" your time and your imagination!
