Friends torturing friends, family torturing family, society torturing everybody. Just a big ol' torture fest. Without the funtimes for afters... Poor Talon. If I were him I'd just say "later taters" and burn it all down. Guess that's why he's the hero in a story and I'm just the dude reading it

Exciting stuff! Kalian is growing, slowly but still, growth, and twatface is digging himself a deeper hole. How much damage he'll be allowed to do before he gets his remains to be seen but yeah, one step at a time I guess. Great story man, really enjoying it!
-
Seconded. Let him burn. Ugh wait, we're holding out for a reckoning. nm then.
-
An unfortunate lack of Talon and overabundance of twatface... Oh well, I'm sure every dubious, dirty, despicable thing he does will be paid for in kind once LaserBoy realises how much power he actually holds in his hot little hands. I like me a good reckoning...
-
And you've done it again, my dude... Absolutely brilliant! So many layers to your stories, and your writing. Makes for a most satisfying read. Talon particularly (he's 100% perfectly bangable btw) had me ugly laughing with his various 'we're experimenting here, bro. what do you expect?' lines. And I mean, obviously Kalian had no other choice *but* to seek help from him but wow, accepting strange - illegal, probably sparkly - drinks from strange - not sparkly but also probably illegal - men, think things through much? DarkClaw & LaserBoy make a good team. Hope they start kicking ass and checking names soon

German is such an expressive language, yeah? Perfect for gritty tales of loss and dumbassery. Am guessing I'm soon going to be wishing Lex had actually lost that arm. He sounds like a right twat...

Bit of a Luke Skywalker/Han Solo vibe going on here, or is that just me? Great start man, looking forward to the rest of the journey

Full disclosure: I am writing this review after reading 36 of the 37 chapters that make up this story. In other words, all but the final - special episode - chapter (sue me, I'm just not ready to say goodbye yet) so if that one sinks the ship, no it didn't. According to Wikipedia, "the demiurge is an artisan-like figure responsible for fashioning and maintaining the universe" - a creator (of sorts), if you will. Which, in the case of the writer of this extraordinary tale, yup, dude is definitely that... And the tale in question is, without a doubt, nothing less than an entire pocket universe fashioned carefully from the bones & flesh of worlds long past their prime, very lovingly maintained through the writer-creator's own will, blood, sweat and tears. Blood, sweat and tears, being very operative words. See, this story is really heavy in places - very well signposted though, so don't fret too much. If you read it, you will cry. But you'll also laugh and, if you're anything like me, wish you could reach through the screen to smack people. What you won't do however, is walk away untouched. Or with your heart in any way still intact. You have been warned. Anyway. In addition to a well thought out, elegantly executed, delightfully immersive plotline and character set, readers will - slowly but surely and, again if you're anything like me, somewhat against your will - be very thoroughly educated in the ways of fashion and home decor. And learn how to halt a panic attack in its tracks. Not to mention, if you happen to pay attention, how doors work. Also, correct positioning of a teabag within a mug so as not to have to repeatedly fish said teabag out when it inevitably succumbs to the gravitational pull of the water it's immersed in. If you're really on top of things, you may even pick up a few useful hairstyling tips. Unfortunately the demon child-raising guide is a bit lacking but eh, can't have everything now can we? Read the story, yeah? It's good. Really really really good. Just watch out for the herrings, they're a bit... feisty.

Sir Seth Whitfield: knight, big brother, staunch defender of non-binary rights, Best! Boyfriend! Ever!, accomplished author, brat-tamer extraordinaire and, perhaps most importantly, a good boy. Way to realise your potential, big guy. You did good. And Noah? You're the reason why. Stay awesome mate, and remind your writer that endings are nothing more than new beginnings, yeah? Ta.
-
Promises promises... You know the drill man, pics or it never happened.
-
Ah, look at Sir Seth in his brand-splanking-new, custom made & fitted, shinier-than-a-mirror-in-the-sun, dent & rust-free, special-edition, boyfriend-service armour. Such a good boy... The best, even. Rest easy, Noah, your man has got you. And he ain't ever letting go. Special mention to Miss Caroline, you did good, ma'am! Keep it up!!!
-
*drops to floor, breathing hard* Well played, my good sir. Well feckin' played... I'd really like to say I didn't see most of that coming but you, being the slightly foreshadowing-obsessed red-herring-dropping menace that you have proven to be, didn't exactly cover your tracks. Probably because you didn't even try to but eh, benefit of doubt and all that carry-on, right? Still, enough plot twists to start a whole new game of CAH coupled with flawless execution - as always - so absolutely no complaints from me. 10/10 recommend w/out reservation

I've been sat here typing and deleting words in this little box for I don't know how long anymore and honestly, my fingers hurt. Not as much as my heart does - obviously - but still. I'm going to bed. Where I'll probably just lie sobbing - don't judge me, you did this - quietly into my pillow because fuck. This chapter... I dunno man, it's a lot. In some really good ways but also not, ya know? You have a gift. I don't want to imagine where it came from, but...keep using it for good, yeah? Cheers

"Howard flagged down the waiter and tension settled at the table like an unwanted place setting as they ordered" It's this kind of thing that makes your writing stand out. Your phrasing is precise, poetic, descriptive without being overly so, and perhaps most importantly, the words just flow unimpeded from the page directly to experience - the transition between the brain comprehending the words and the body interpreting them, utterly seamless. I was there. Another awesome chapter, dude! You da man!!!
-
Ugh fine. You wanted to know what I meant by "one of those" a chapter or so back? I'll tell you... You're a bloody menace. You just couldn't let them be happy for longer than a hot minute, could you?! And Michael again? Shame on you! Anyway, brilliant chapter! Seth is percolating nicely, and I'm so proud of Noah. Tbh I'm dreading the ending of this ride. I've become so deeply attached to Seth & Noah, and entirely way too invested in this little velvet & paisley world that you've so beautifully, so carefully, so dutifully crafted from the remains of your own blood, sweat and tears experiences that I'm not sure how I will be able to tear myself away from it. Not without leaving a great, heaving chunk of my heart behind anyway... Yeah yeah, sappy & foolish, whatever. I'll see myself out. Good day.

"It was like the other man was hugging his shattered pieces back together"

I'm sorry, the number you have dialled is currently unavailable - please try again later, thank you.

Bratty Noah for the win! Responsible Seth for the win! Queen Ophelia for the win! Lilith, most beloved demon child, FOR THE WIN! You did good, man <fistbump>
-
But does that grant me special library access & privileges, because if not..eh, whom I kidding. You've earned it. And just to be clear, I'm not trying to appeal to your ego, regardless of how satisfying that may - or may not - be. I speak only fact. Subjective fact perhaps, but fact nonetheless.
-
You one of those, huh? Enjoyed this chapter immensely, flagrant misuse of flags aside, the relationship growth & peek at soft boys in the kitchen (and shower!) was a right treat to read. Am deffo grabbing a drink before I read the next one though. Because yeah, flags and shit...
-
Duuuude, you are killing me here... You write so mfing beautifully. You slip us - seemingly effortlessly - under the skin of whomever is currently driving the POV, allowing a seamless - full - transition from just reading words on a page to full-on experiencing events and feelings - man, the feelings! - through that particular character. Talent? Unremitting effort? Magic? Simply my own dumb ass being a little extra dumbassy? Who the hell knows. Who the hell even cares... I am freaking here for this. So good. So.damn.good.

Also, playlist? <grabbyhands>

Oh, and I dunno if this is still relevant since it has been a few years and all, but if your pwp is still looking for a home, literotica might be a viable option, yeah? I mean, it is kinda smut central, after all. And the gay section could definitely do with a few writers of your calibre... If not, there are other options, smaller community run archives and personal author websites offering hosting services for example. All with their own guidelines & whatnot so who knows re: actual viability but eh, that's all I got...(and I'm probably preaching to the choir anyway 🙃) Cheers

Noah: the hero nobody expects but Seth absolutely deserves. A complex (like everyone else) character with whom life clearly plays a few too many games but eh, if life is gonna lose to anyone on the regular, at least it's to our Noah, right? Noah's mum: a pawn on her way to becoming a queen. Or is she? Lilith: trouble, trouble & more trouble, with an inner core of, you guessed it, yet.more.trouble. There are, obviously, valid reasons behind her seeming inability to behave in a manner becoming of a human being (childhood trauma being one, the dearth of healthy role models being another, and we cannot, of course, afford to underestimate the effects of overexposure to instant ramen on a developing demon) but still. Trouble. And yeah, I do like trouble... Seth: a true knight. Of the highest order. Damaged, very much broken but doing his best to pick up the pieces and become whole again (which he arguably cannot do completely due to never having had the opportunity to actually develop a fully individuated psyche thanks to the half-a-troll-bollock-sperm-donor aka his 'father' violently interrupting - and stalling indefinitely - the process) all the while somehow managing to hold onto & express his innate goodness. Which is a hell of a lot more than most humans accomplish even when gifted lives of ease & grace. So yeah, boy-interrupted he may be, but still, a force to be reckoned with. And with therapy, supportive friends (to kick his ass & whatnot) and a valiant hero by his side, he will finally - finally - be equipped to realise his full potential. Excellent chapter, mate - as always.

Wow, another "I've got a whole feckin library but pesky peasants aren't allowed in it" reminder. Pics or it never happened, bro - you know how this works...
