    Chapter 7

True. Plinkinenkak is clever and knows how to sow discord. She has her own plans, of course, but the boys seemed too short-sighted to think of that😬 In the next chapter, we are still on the ship and there will be a kind of change in situation.

    Chapter 6

That's right. An inexperienced teenage boy is not much use to Zal and his company, so why would they tell their secrets to Josel. Mostly, they hope the boys will stay out of the way and not cause any trouble. On the other hand, Zal only thinks about the big picture and then he ignores everything else, like people's feelings. That's not good either.

@akascrubber Thank you for your comment. We'll hear more about Josel and Zdain in the next chapter. I think I'll change the word "fallen" to start with a capital letter πŸ™‚

    Chapter 7

Here was this chapter. As you can see, the chapters are a little different in length, but I can't help it, as I didn't originally intend to publish this story chapter by chapter 🀠 I wonder if I should capitalise the word "the fallen" when it means a follower of the Darkness? Maybe it would make it easier to read. What do you think? I don't really have a proper rule for these terms.

    Chapter 7

Josel Plinkinenkak was a stowaway on the ship - and now Zal's prisoner! It was a lot to think about. Josel hurried from the deck to the cabin. He found Zdain in his bunk, sipping a hot drink from a large mug. A smile crossed the boy's pale face as Josel rushed in. Zdain's good spirit was new to Josel. Monteilon seemed to have completely forgotten their old animosities, and was infinitely grateful to Josel for dragging him to safety from Marta's cellar. It was nice, but a little surpris

    Chapter 6

    A good guess.πŸ˜‰ Let's see what happens!
  7. Lupus

    Chapter 6

Zdain Because Zdain was so tired, it was a struggle to try to look enthusiastic. But being stuck in the cabin was boring, so the stories Josel told while sitting beside the bed were a welcome distraction. Besides, he was a delight to watch. Zdain pulled himself up on the bed to a better position, and put an expression of interest he had momentarily lost back on his face. "Can you imagine, those towers were at least this tall!" Josel explained, spreading his arms in an attempt to expres

    Chapter 18

Another very good and interesting chapter, but I missed Luke. Too bad Jackson didn't kick the shit out of the Townson brothers. Maybe he'll get the chance at some point😎 Interesting to see how different and much more shy Jackson is when he's in such a strange environment and not surrounded by his friends.

    Chapter 5

Thank you for your comments! @drsawzall In the next chapter we will see how Josel behaves now that Zdain is awake. More details about Masked Thief will be revealed later, as Franz only has a few chapters in this book.

    Chapter 5

"Izaskar Ksellendor, your idea pleases me even more now that it is being implemented. The coal reserves of the Wintry North have long been an unattainable objective for the Empire. But you have built us a system that will finally allow us to exploit those riches. Even the best technicians at the university could not have done it. You are a genius!" "Your Majesty, I have always been a loyal servant of the Negos family. Building a modern mining system and setting up a camp administration wa

    Chapter 4

Yes, as you can probably guess, the comet is a major theme in this series of books. But it is certainly not the only one. In fact, the focus will remain on the characters and their relationships throughout the series. πŸŽ‡πŸ’«

    Chapter 4

True. Had Izarkar not isolated himself in this way, his intelligence would surely have been of great use to Zal and his side. Meanwhile, the red-tailed star approaches.

    Chapter 4

Yeah, many people seem to be ignoring the signs that the Darkness is rising. Zal seems to be quite alone. There is still much to discover as the main plot slowly unfolds.

    Chapter 10

I still think that Jackson is a very well created character. Precisely because he is realistic and not a sugar candy. I remember a bit of what it was like to be a teenage boy myself: I kind of knew what to do or say in different situations, but I still didn't often do the right thing - especially when my friends were around. 😳

    Chapter 4

Thank you! I will try my best 😊 I think you'll have to wait about a week or so before I can finish the next chapter. In the next chapter, we'll return to the ship and to another place as well. 😎
