  1. Lupus

    Chapter 25

@chrstphrl @Seraph28 Thank you for the kind comments😊 We'll see how the situation at the dye works develops. It's always possible that events won’t unfold the way different people have planned. Tac Temogam’s true nature is indeed beginning to show. He is a very dangerous man, and it isn’t safe for Zdain — or anyone else — to be anywhere near him. We’re already approaching the final stretch of this fourth book, but there are still a few important events — or perhaps even a surprise — yet to come.
  2. Zaltarim "Farewell," Berron muttered and turned to leave. He had been checking his pocket watch so often that it was impossible not to notice how his nerves frayed as evening dimmed. Only with great reluctance had he agreed to show Zal and the others the hiding place in the dyehouse loft. Zal watched his retreating back and felt a deeper chill settle in him. They were on their own. "Useless man," Ragart growled, loading magazines for his submachine gun. Zal felt the urge to o

Thank you! This is a very long story — dozens of plot threads and plenty of characters.😊

    Chapter 8

Thank you all so much for your feedback. It truly warms my heart and encourages me to keep writing more stories. And I completely agree with you — romantic tales like this really do need a happy ending.🥰
  5. Sunday morning arrived with a pale golden light slanting through the crack in Mark's window blinds. Mark stirred slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. As his mind gradually woke up, he felt an unfamiliar warmth pressed solid against his right side. He shifted slightly, and his knee brushed against another set of legs. Then, everything from the night before flooded back into his mind. The blanket was kicked down into a messy heap at the foot of the bed. Sandro was lying on his s

    Chapter 24

@Seraph28 Exactly. Zal sensed something in Darren when they briefly met in Castle Cache (in the second book). He couldn’t, however, define what that feeling was. None of these five boys could have imagined at the start of the story what kind of journey they were about to face.

    Chapter 7

This is how I wanted to write it. I don’t like villains either.🙂
  8. Lupus

    Chapter 24

Good questions — ones I can’t answer just yet😄 Franz really can reach the tower in his dreams, but how Darren could get there — if the goblins’ claim is actually true — is still a mystery. We’ll learn more about the tower at the very end of this book.

    Chapter 7

Glad to hear you enjoyed the chapter. Let’s see what happens to Mark and Sandro in the final chapter🤫
  10. Darren The Uninhabited Lands His head was spinning. When he opened his eyes, he had to shut them again at once. Jagged patterns raced across his eyelids, and for a moment Darren felt an intense urge to throw up. Then his ears began to pick out sounds around him, and he remembered Danae. Where is she? Their hands had slipped apart the moment they stepped into the gate. After that, everything had been nothing but swirling chaos. Darren remembered the tumbling and the white flashes. Whe

    Chapter 7

Thanks for the comments!☺️ Mark is almost as bad at reading people as he is at talking about his feelings. And he definitely doesn’t want to mess everything up again by blurting out his feelings to Sandro. Jared is simply a kind and caring person — the type who dislikes conflict between people. He’d certainly want Mark and Sandro to be back on good terms.
  12. Lupus

    Chapter 3

Exactly. A story needs misunderstandings and a bit of drama😃

    Chapter 4

Good point. Even though Sandro is angry, it would be out of character for him to seriously hurt Mark. Most likely he didn’t kick the ball with full force (even if that’s how it seems to Mark).
  14. "Mark, don't," Jared warned, stepping into his path. Around them, a crowd of partygoers had formed a silent ring, their curious, judgmental eyes locked onto Mark. The music thumped in the background, but in that hallway, the silence felt deafening. Jared grabbed Mark's arm firmly. "Leave Sandro alone. You've done enough." "Let me go, Jared! Please!" Mark pleaded, his voice cracking with a raw desperation that echoed over the crowd. He tried to yank his arm free, but Jared held on tight. "Yo

Thank you all for your comments! I’ve really enjoyed reading them.😊 Clearly nothing is easy between these boys. Let’s see what happens in the next chapter.
