I pulled into the driveway of the beach house, turned off the car, and reached for the door handle. Instead of getting out, however, my hand fell away as I leaned my forehead against the steering wheel. I'd been thinking about Micah's offer all the way home, twisting and turning it, looking at it from every imaginable angle. He wanted me to move in with him. He had this incredible job offer at The New York Times, and was willing to give it up for me. I loved Micah. I knew he loved me.

You're more or less correct about everyone's ages but this story (Never Alone) takes place about three years before the current timeline in the Killian Kendall series, so Jacy is actually roughly a year older than Killian. The next time you meet Jacy, it will jump forward in his story,

I always love Charlie and Company's adventures, but this one, especially the resolution seems particularly relevant. Thank you. A great ending to a great story and promise of future adventures. What more could we ask for?

I brushed past him, but he ran to keep up, his eyes as wide as saucers. “Are you really leaving?” he asked me. I nodded while I kept walking.
