  1. Thank you very much for reading it all the way through! I really appreciate you sticking with this~ Yeah, Bruno and Daniel are really not set out to be happy (at least the way I view it). There is a certain tragedy, in my opinion, that even those who are "spared" from abuse end up suffering from it in a different way. Thank you for your lovely comment!
  2. The clinic was pretty empty at that time of the day. Lucian sat down on one of the chairs in the waiting room and patiently passed the time until it was his turn. He had an appointment to finally get rid of that awful brand on his chest... The one he himself had placed on his body. Waves of shame still hit him when he thought about how easily he had been played. Honestly, he couldn't thank Peter enough for being there for him when he had needed it most. His lips quirked into a smile, his no
  3. Indeed. Now that it's over, I can finally say it was meant to be more of a cautionary tale and a tragedy than anything. No one really got a happy ending (Bruno seems like he did, but he really didn't, if you look into what he's like) and there's just misery all around. I also hoped that the middle part, especially where Peter says that no one cares about what they had to go through, can motivate some people IRL who read my story to fight back for victims who can't. Thank you for reading! And I'm glad I managed to make you appreciate your dad, even if you don't have the best of relationships. Thanks for the comment too!
  4. You're not the only person to mention a paternity test! I will definitely think about doing such a story in the bonus chapter. Thank you for reading and commenting!
  5. Lucian could hear people approaching. Two sets of steps. That had to be his unfortunate campmates. He stood up from his position to see them come back. The aura they exuded was dismal. Daniel's eyes were swollen and puffy, his cheeks streaked red. He nearly tripped over his own foot a few times, seemingly so deep in thought as he was looking down onto the ground. Bruno honestly didn't look much better. He had a smile plastered on his face - a trained expression, devoid of any honest emotion. His
  6. I love reading your view of the story. It is always very artsy and poetic, in a way. Truly a joy. But I understand why the sudden switch with sympathy to Lucian and antipathy to Daniel. For me personally while writing them - I have trouble really "liking" or "disliking" either of them. I switch between them as the scenes change. And getting the title of Maestro is certainly an honor! Thank you very much for that one!
  7. Indeed. I truly wanted to showcase a bit of a perspective into Bruno, who has been more of a mystery. Next chapter we'll see even more of his real face, don't worry - for the better or the worse. I did not expect a plea, I'll be fully honest. The accountability/consequences for one's actions is actually a very important topic I want to touch on in the last chapter - in its own way. Thank you for the comment and for reading! I can definitely tell you that the first section of Chapter 10 is already intense. So we're not stopping the grinder yet, I fear.
  8. There was a certain new energy pouring out of Lucian. Even he himself couldn't quite point his finger at it. He was just... revitalized! He had even woken up earlier than usual. The time until Saturday had finally come around was not long at all. And honestly, he was downright excited! He could feel it would be... special. Like for once he had finally gotten invited to an exclusive bonding session between the father and son duo. Yet he didn't feel like a third wheel, really. A smirk formed on hi
  9. Oooh, hello Virgo! Good to know more about star signs - I was never too knowledgeable about astrology. But thank you for being committed! Sorry for that ditching though, sounds very sad. 😭 I do have other stories, but not on Gay Authors. They're not really suited for this site, IMO, so I didn't try to get them on here. One is a fanfiction of another original work from a friend. The other is so far a one-shot, but it romanticizes a rather problematic subject (you can probably guess what) and is a lot more smut-focused, and I also felt like it wasn't really suitable for here. But whenever I will write something very plot-heavy, I will try to post it on here, rest assured! And yes, we are 2 chapters away from the end (a bonus chapter after that is planned, though).
  10. Oh, don't worry, I have some commenters on other sites who do think Bruno loves Daniel and even cheer them on! So it's definitely a rather split topic, it seems 💀 But hey, I do like how you keep dreaming for the moral thing to happen! We shall see whether it comes true. Hopefully you won't have to wait for long!
  11. Thank you for yet another lovely comment! Yes, Lucian is fully going off the deep end. I am truly trying to portray how there is no limit to his self-destructive behavior. Even to the point where he willingly inflicts pain upon himself (the pulling) with no prior request (heck, the opposite even!) just to try and prove something. But to who is he proving it? And I can tell you that next chapter is definitely going to be rather revelatory in a lot of ways. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next one!
  12. Daniel's head felt so groggy. Like if he had been sick and had had a fever. And yet it was time to wake up. The sun was going to start shining in an hour or two, and dad would need to be out of the house by then... If Bruno even wanted Daniel to keep preparing his meals. Maybe he was waiting for Lucian to learn and then switch over to him. Any next cooking session could be Daniel's last. And he hated it. He hated the possibility of it happening and he hated himself even more for daring to entert
  13. Thank you for reading! Yes, we are indeed in dark territories here. Nothing is really hopeful about the current state of affairs in the story. Everyone is just absolutely miserable (even if Lucian is the one person who refuses to admit it for himself) Hopefully we'll be seeing you in the next chapters as well!
  14. Pleasant light filled Lucian's room as he roused with a smile playing on his lips. The bed seemed so much softer on that day, he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Except he could - the day before was an absolute victory. Everything turned out to be more or less ideal for him now. Jolting awake with newfound vigor, he opened up his laptop again. The recording was still there. He could hear and see it all - the sex, the conversations, the moaning. He wanted to boast about it. > Lucian:
  15. I'm glad to hear you are able to properly distance yourself from fiction and not let it bog you down too much! And yes, the story is meant to be a very bleak reflection of reality some people have to endure - and in a way a commentary on it too. The story itself is planned for 10 chapters, with the 11th being a sort of... meta chapter? Where I explain what I wanted to say with the story and maybe even write out a few scenes my readers might request to see! Like non-canon alternate endings and such. The posting schedule itself is a bit all over the place, but I try to post at least once per week! Maybe two, if I am able to get enough out of me.
