  1. Hello folks, Is it me? Or is something going on with the lack of recent story chapters and email replies from gstrdr15 and horti123. I have been patiently waitng to hear from both of these gentlemen for some time concerning 'Kombat Kids' and 'Somerset Farm'. At this time, I am resorting to a post on this forum in the hopes of eliciting a reply. If not the authors, then can someone set me straight on what is happening? Thanks, PK
  2. Technically, I think some editorial polishing is needed; I got confused a couple of times on who was speaking to whom. Plot and character-wise, right away I felt for Randy, and hated Tim and his father for how they treated Randy and Michael. If I were Tim and had a brother, this would be a different story. I believe situations like this, happen too often in reality - so I wouldn't want to read about one more case of abuse from family members without a more positive outcome in the offing. Let's hear from some other readers on what they thought about it - it was just posted earlier today. Thanks for allowing me to add my two cents worth. Until next time, PK
  3. I liked 'Nico and Dani', but one I didn't like, was 'The Lost Son' - really on the dark side of the gay/boylover/pedophile triangle. L.I.E. is on my list to check out. 'Back To The Future' - liked one and three, so-so on two. Have one thru four of the William Shatner 'Star Trek' movies. Also 'Insurrection' for Patrick Stewart. 'Lord of the Flies' - there were two versions that I know about; the earlier one being the better of the two, in my opinion. I wouldn't call it a gay movie, as much as a transformation from fright to savagery for a group of minimally dressed/naked boys. I've seen, but not taped 'Donnie Darko' - weird! Not into the 'Exorcist' movies; enjoyed 'Thirteen Ghosts'; saw 'The Sandlot'. Until next time, PK
  4. I am not an author, but I do read lots of stories on Nifty and other sites when I hear of them. If I like a story, I always send a comment to the author, no matter what his or her age (if, indeed, you can tell an author's age by the writing style). I don't always get an acknowledgement from that author, and that does bother me. Also, I enjoy email pen-pal relationships and encourage them without regard to age. Clearly, I am intelligent enough not to make any comment or suggestion that would cause a government entity to put me under arrest for an inappropriate contact with a minor. Given the opinions already expressed in this subject, I would like to add my two cents on the side of responding to anyone that sends you comments about your story. If nothing else, it is the courteous thing to do. I also agree that there are an inordinate number of gay teen suicides and if there is any opportunity for anyone to possibly thwart an attempt by keeping in touch with someone that writes to you, go for it - it may save a life. Until next time, PK
  5. Howdy, Friends. My choice(s) are boxer-briefs and commando. Given my height/weight ratio, briefs just don't hold what I got and boxers are too loose. When at home, I am usually naked most of the time, anyway. Take care, PK
  6. Howdy Friends, Usually, by the time I get to see a movie, it has become a classic or has been around for a long time, or a TV movie. I am what people call eclectic in my choices of movies: liking several different genres. Yes, I watch 'The Ten Commandments' when it plays every year. Same with 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Miracle on 34th Street'. Here is a short list of my favorites (in no particular order): 'Hackers' 'The Green Mile' 'Small Change' 'The Guns of Navarone' 'Nico and Dani' 'Apollo 13' 'Dune' 'Forever Young' 'The Little Vampire' 'Plymouth' 'Airport' and 'Airplane' to name just twelve. I have a library of VHS and DVD titles - well over 900 - that I have bought or taped over the years. It would be impossible for me to pick one title as an all-time favorite. Thanks for bringing up the subject, Dom. BTW: The only one in my list that is gay, would be Nico and Dani. Until next time, PK
  7. Howdy, Many thanks for welcoming me to your forum and a hearty welcome to the newer members as well. I know it means a lot to me as I am extremely shy, and I will certainly try to come here regularly to say hello to the new members. Until next time, PK
  8. Howdy, All. Well, this is my first post in the GA forum and only the second forum that I have signed into. Some of you will know me from Jeff'sFort forum. My reading skills aren't very good, so it takes me a while to finish with a story, so I rely on recommendations from others in order to narrow down the choices of what I read. I am keeping up with 'New Brother' by Graeme, 'Joel' by Ted Louis, 'Memories' by ACFan and have read A New Day Dawns, Book 1 by GunRunner. I also liked 'The Path of Angels' by Rhaven. I have started reading 'Tim' the first book in the Foley-Mashburn Saga by Brew Maxwell. I find myself in Nifty quite a bit given the immenseness of its size, but it is difficult separating the wheat from the chaff in that database. That's it for now, I have to send a PM to Mike.g about his website.Take care, PeaceKeeper (PK)
