  1. Raynerbrook is a town in the middle of nowhere, to everyone else, it seems like a normal, if not quite boring town. But to the teenage boy that just moved there with his family, something doesn't feel right. Supernatural energies seem to envelop the town, and all manner of things lurk in the darkness, and sometimes in the light.
  2. It was the Monday after that when Theo started at the school in Raynerbrook. He and Megan had tried to cover up what had happened as well as they could when Karen had come home half an hour after Theo had rushed back into the house, They hadn't talked about what happened. Theo had cleaned up the wounds on his arm and his shoulder which had stopped bleeding quite quickly, despite being pretty deep, they still hurt however and Theo had put on a long sleeve shirt to hide the cut on his arm.
  3. Theo stood at the sink in the bathroom, cleaning his cut on his finger. He wondered how he had even done it, he hadn't noticed anything sharp in or around the box. Perhaps he had done it when crawling into that space in the attic and had only noticed it later? he decided it didn't really matter, all he knew was that his finger hurt like a bitch. He put a plaster on his finger to stop the cut from getting too exposed and then walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light as he went. On
  4. The day after Theo moved to Raynerbrook, everything started to change. That morning he woke up feeling exhausted, he hadn't slept well the night before. He had only had the nightmare once, but it had been enough to keep him awake. He could still see the images in his mind clearly, except the symbol at the end, it was hidden, as if by a dense fog in the back of his mind, he eventually gave up on trying to remember it and climbed out of bed. Theo got dressed and headed downstairs, he foun
  5. The car stopped and Theo was awakened from his thoughts. They had already passed through the town without Theo being aware, he was too busy shrugging off the strange feeling that he had, and wondering why he had felt it. They had parked outside the gate of a house, it looked old, but seemed to be in quite good condition, nothing seemed to be broken at least, the walls weren't falling down and the roof hadn't caved in, as long as it was intact it was OK in Theo's eyes. '-please, Theo' sa
  6. "We're almost there" said Theo's mother Karen Black. Theo looked up just in time to see the sign: "Raynerbrook - 10 miles" Theo was beginning to feel something, something... not quite right. He couldn't put his finger on it, eventually he just decided it was his nerves. Moving to a new town was a large step after all. The window in the small car was open fully, and the wind blew through his black hair, the wind was strong and his hands shielded his eyes. protecting them as he looked out of
  7. Chapter One - Strange town, Strange things - Part one Groggily, he opened his eyes and slowly, his blurry vision began to get sharper. His eyesight landed firmly on the roof of his bedroom, and he stared at it intently as if it was the last time he ever would. Incidentally, it was. Today would be the day he moved home, moving from the place he had grown up in, the place he had gone to school, the place he had made his friends, the place he was going to miss with all his heart. But don't get hi

  9. Hey guys, i'm Matt and i live in the North-West of England near Manchester, as you can probably tell from my information to the left i've been lurking here for a long time, but only started posting on here.. about 3 days ago. I'm currently writing a story which is... going well, i suppose Anyway, great to meet you all
  10. So i guess it's kind of on the fence about the location then? I hope for it to be in Manchester, i know my way around there and know it's a great place to meet up with people, but i can certainly see the appeal of London. There's still a long time to think about this though, so i guess i'll just have to wait and see Ok, now i'm scared
  11. I think it's a great idea Though Manchester would be better for me, getting to London is quite hard, whereas i live just outside of Manchester.
