  1. if you guys like brokeback mountain, check out also the chinese movie LAN YU. just as good, if not better. but it's sad that most of the the greatest gay movies i've watched have bittersweet endings. somehow, the main characters only dare to accept who they are, and realize what they have, after tragedy strikes.
  2. Chapter 25 Argh, it's moving so slowly. day by day chronological progress is really killing me. having said that, it seems that sean should not be allowed to get drunk. he'll just go spouting drunken truths again. once was okay, but everytime? Chapter 26 Good to see that things with brian is developing nicely. no doubt that brian and jones will be together again. yay. Now, just a matter of jones helping brian through the difficult times of accepting himself, and fall in love during the process. just like in the second timeline, where they fell in love during times of adversity with brian's uncle. As for Sean, I really hope that things can work out between him and Brandon. So far, quite difficult to tell how things will turn out. Kudos to Dan for taking the time to finish another chapter for us, even though he is having more important things in his life now- namely Robert. But there is one disturbing development in this story- The possibility of the recreation of the time machine. If it was up to me, this MUST NOT BE DONE. It's going to bring more harm than good if it is allowed to happen again. The whole REDUX happened because the chinese managed to capture the time machine. Otherwise, Jones wouldn't have to go through all this crap again. Sean should know better, than to recreate another machine. Because so long as a time machine exist, there is a possibility (no matter how remote), that evil elements can get their hands on this technology, and wreck havoc again. Such an incident must be prevented at all costs.
  3. Chapter 23 Yay. Everything is as anticipated. From the way things seem to be developing, Davey is going to get another shot at Brian. Not sure what's the outcome for Sean and Brandon though. But one thing still worries me- the last line from chapter 21- Why it gave me a nagging little sliver of worry, I wasn
  4. Chapter 22 It's good, in a way, that Sean actually got drunk enough to fully express himself. At least now Davey has a clearer picture on some things in the past (first timeline). And Sean managed to get some bugging things off his chest. Being drunk does remove one's inhibitations (and common sense), so that's why Sean was so frank and upfront. But when sober again, he'll come to realize that the past is the past. And no matter how much he hates Davey, that won't change the past (theoretically). At least Davey changed for the better in the second timeline. Thus, that itself should be atonement already for the mean things he did to Sean out of ignorance in the first timeline. Since the next few chapters of DOR is chronologically day by day, it's going to be a few more weeks of exciting cliffhangers.
  5. Just my thoughts about Brian and Davey Chapter 21 The reason why Brian asked Davey whether he was married was because he is still trying his best not to be gay. "Was... in that last life you talked about... was I married?" Brian asked with a hint of concern in his voice. That's why he was concerned about whether he was married or not- it would show whether he was successful in repressing himself. In the last do-over, he had davey with him to support him and be with him as he accepted being gay. But for this timeline, davey wasn't there earlier (modesto). And with the quarantine (and resulting negative stigma against homos) he became even more closeted (even to the extend of treating Sean badly- not his nature at all). To make things worse, his Uncle Rich died, so he's really alone, with no one at all to support him. He was so lonely. He dated Marcie- to try to be hetero. To try not to be gay. And that's why he was initially relieved when Davey told him he was married (cause at that time, Brian thought that only heteros can marry each other). He thought that he successfully became straight. However... "Was... is it Marcie?" He asked, naming the girl he was dating right now. "No, it wasn
