Spinning - a poem - 1. Chapter 1
Spinning
by ~ Wayne
Spinning like a crazy wheel
turning round in wild circles.
Going round and round
never knowing which way is up.
Trying all the different paths
but find none that work.
Seasons change from one to the next
and years float on and on.
Yet you don't want to go just yet.
You stand and wait for a sign
and it never seems to come.
Some settle for what they find,
others twist and roll around.
The heart wanders all about,
and the mind flys so far away.
Anguish is daily friend
and so is loneliness.
Happiness is quick visitor.
Shock can numb you so.
Yet the circles are ever there
and growing year by year.
The paths are overgrown
flooded by your tears.
When are you going to stand up?
When will you stop the twists?
When will you surrender and create a new world?
I'm just waiting here.
I'm just as lost as you.
I just waiting here .....
.... always waiting here .......
.... waiting here for you.
