Basketball diaries - 1. Meeting
This is about first entering the club, I was totally not thrilled, just entered to do something.
MEETING
Reluctant steps, unwilling entry,
Not a very thrilling activity.
Five sweaty players n a bouncing ball,
High level stamina, energetic n tall.
Ball through the basket is the goal,
Players working for it body n soul.
Basics are the beginning,
Main aim is entering,
Nothing seems too interesting
As I started with the dribbling!
That was my first meeting with the game in school. Still can't believe I was so utterly reluctant to play
