• Mardra & Loranth (gold) - Weyrwoman - leads the Queens' Wing.
• Valli & Kadoth (gold) - Former Weyrwoman when D'gar Impresses Herebeth, who hatches from Kadoth's last clutch of eggs in Turn 43 of the Eighth Pass.
• Tirelle & Suderoth (gold) - junior weyrwoman and weyrmate of V'dul (bronze Sarneth).
• Zalna & Gemalth (gold) - youngest junior weyrwoman. Gemalth hatches from Suderoth's clutch in Turn 44. Has relationship with K'torl (bronze Ganath).

Kadoth's Clutch (Hatched in Turn 43)

• D'gar & Herebeth (brown) - formerly known as Detgar. Weyrmate of S'brin (green Zemianth). Thinks too much, according to some of his friends.
• S'brin & Zemianth (green) - formerly known as Serebrin. Weyrmate of D'gar (brown Herebeth). S'brin has a short temper and doesn't always think before acting.
• G'tash & Kailarth (brown) - joins 'F' Wing in 45. Can be a little pompous at times.
• J'rud & Zurinth (green) - joins 'C' Wing in 45, at the same time as D'gar and S'brin. He likes to make jokes and is generally good natured.
• R'chol & Carainth (green) - joins 'I' Wing in 45. Carainth is the first dragon Herebeth chases in a mating flight.
• T'mudra & Jassainth (green) - joins 'I' Wing in 45. He's annoying and often gets into fights with S'brin.
• B'rol & Milliath (green) - joins 'H' Wing in 45. Dies three months later in the infirmary after an unpleasant encounter with Thread.
• K'dis & Cegorth (blue) - joins 'B' Wing in 45.
• T'kes & Neyrenth (blue) - joins 'C' Wing in 45. Drag=on is badly Threadscored the same Turn and has a badly damaged wing as a result.
• J'ral & Beylalth (blue) - joins 'B' Wing in 45.

'C' Wing (in Turn 45) - Wingriders

• M'rell & Toth (brown) - a friend of D'gar and S'brin. Toth hatched from Loranth's clutch in 42.
• A'ren & Brandith (brown) - quiet and competent. Has been learning the skills needed to be a Wingsecond. Sent on secondment to Benden Weyr in 46.
• T'garrin & Belloth (blue) - will wager on anything, including how long the latest recruits might last.
• M'ta & Zath (blue) - been there, done it, seen it all. Doesn't see the point in learning new recruits names until they've survived for at least six months.
• N'dru & Wasuth (blue) - experienced rider. N'rir's half-brother. Expert in finding Thread burrows on the ground and trains others in the skill.
• Y'min & Tiaketh (blue) - older rider with Turns of experience.
• R'xel & Lath (blue) - daredevil. Drinks a lot. Although he rides a blue, he hangs out with the 'crazy greens'
• G'reden & Jekkoth (blue) - similar age to M'rell, dragon hatched from same clutch.
• P'llesh & Wedanth (blue) - responsible and capable.
• H'ren & Marth (blue) - joined Wing at the same time as T'garrin and is a similar age.
• J'kil & Vernianth (blue) - oldest rider in the Wing. Remembers former Weyrleaders and the start of the Eighth Pass.
• Gr'thol & Famenth (green) - weyrmate to K'san (brown Norarth). Expert in finding Thread burrows on the ground and trains others in the skill.
• V’chal & Lilith (green) - fancies anyone, especially after Threadfall.
• B'thun & Halerth (green) - R'xel's drinking (and occasional bed) partner, although they aren't weyrmates. One of the 'crazy greens'.
• T'chol & Myninth (green) - very responsible
• P'goll & Taronenth (green) - the hardest dragon to catch in the Weyr.
• H'fra & Zerlath (green) - does wicked impressions of well known weyrfolk. One of the 'crazy greens'.
• R'nix & Lilidorth (green) - people mix up the names of his dragon with Lilith, much to his annoyance.
• T'rul & Lainirth (green) - T'ron's half-brother.
• T'ned & Pimanth (green) - complains a lot.
• A'kindry & Rinith (green) - He and V’chal compete to see how many men they can sleep with. One of the 'crazy greens'.
• H'kail & Hollath (green) - gets very stressed about mating flights. Sent on secondment to Benden Weyr in 46.
• Is'ish & Panruth (green) - lost part of his leg to Thread injury. One of the 'crazy greens'.
• M'fex & Biyoth (green) - weyrmate of G'dran (brown Kagorth)

• Os'erl and Firorth (bronze) - Former Weyrleader and Valli's weyrmate, killed in Threadfall long before D'gar was born.
• B'naj & Seventh (brown) - 'F' Wing. Seventh catches Carainth at the end of Herebeth's first mating flight.
