I've always loved reading and started writing pretty much as soon as I could hold a pen (this was long before the days of word processors). In my teens I devoured science fiction and fantasy and discovered the works of Anne McCaffrey in the local library. 'Gone Away, Gone Ahead' was my first attempt at writing fan fiction. I have also written stories based around the cinema industry.
I write because I enjoy it, but it’s always great to get feedback - even just a few words - to know that someone out there is reading and sharing my created worlds.
Cinema engineer Craig is tired of life on the road; eating junk food, staying in bland hotels and never knowing if he’ll get home at night. He can’t see any way out until an unexpected turn of events and an encounter with a fellow traveller makes him realise there might be an alternative.
The Eighth Pass is over. At Fort Weyr, D’gar, Herebeth’s rider faces the future without his weyrmate, lost to Thread just two Falls before the last.
When Lessa brings the five Weyrs forward to the beginning of the Ninth Pass, he must face his fears, try to adapt to an altered world and take the risk of falling in love all over again.
Rob thought he’d left his past behind, along with his former lover and his ambition. Now just a projectionist in a provincial town, when he hears that the company he used to work for has bought the cinema, he knows he will have to confront old ghosts.
