Family life, but not as we know it

Genres: General Fiction,

Brothers-in-law or what? A simple weekend away releases a welter of surprising feelings and ideas for Gavin and Jason, whilst Gavin’s son Matthew, happily ensconced with his girlfriend, suddenly finds himself dealing with interest from his friend Rory. Rory, in danger of being overwhelmed by discovering he’s gay and being rejected by his parents, finds a new home with Gavin and his family, and a sort of peace in the arms of a burly Czech builder.

There is an element of fantasy to this story with rather more nudity than would actually happen in real life. I began the story some time ago as a somewhat raunchier tale than my recent ones on GA, but the characters rather took over and it has metamorphosed somewhat. There are still sexual shenanigans, and there is plenty that is more fantasy than reality.
But there also a group of characters making a home for themselves, and I found that I became rather engaged with them and hope that readers will too.

By the way: "a burly Czech builder" - as in: "a fascinating Rumanian farm-hand" - as in "God"s Own Country"?

Why not.

But I do trust the author to flesh out that (pre-post Brexit?) continental a bit more convincingly than the man in the movie - who turned out to be simply a handsome prop...

Don't worry Slav is nothing  like the guy in 'Gods Own Country'
