This is another episode from the novel I have been working on. This takes place in the mid 70's in San Francisco, circa 1975 or 1976. Robert is, at this point itime, about 23 or 24. He has just moved to San Francisco, and meets an older man, John, who befriends him. John invites Robert to his flat for a quick dinner before going to the theater.

A straight friend, an artist who the narrator has known since college, compliments him on the definition of his muscles. The narrator has always considered the straight friend very attractive, The narrator is concerned his friend is not aware of his own good looks and is not keeping himself fit as they grow older. The narrator has a strategy for helping his friend.
