AleMaho's Poems - 2. Last Minute Insight

Last Minute Insight

I still remember those days.

When the sky seemed blue,

And the flowers remained straight.

Silly thoughts, silly settings all seems now.

The vast world around me is amazing,

but I couldn't care any less.

I want to drift myself

To the never ending sleep.

But the time has yet to come.

I guess He needs to see me suffer first.

And He needs to make me hate myself,

So I will kneel and show some regret,

Asking and finding forgiveness.

Then the smiles shall fade.

They'll be replaced with guilt tears,

Accompanied by hours and hours of grief

And ever lasting memories.

Now I really know what it truly feels to be alone.

Suddenly I feel afraid.

So many questions remain unknown.

But I guess that's His will after all.

The time finally comes.

Apparently the battle has been won.

With mix of emotions

And nothing else to weep

I finally go to sleep.

Desperation and sadness and a final sleep. But often sleep is healing and I hope with the morning the skies are blue and the flowers are straight again.
