Painted In Gold - 16. Crush

One soft kiss
tells me,
“He loves you.”
Is this
reassurance?

Distant,
he’s been
different
with me

“I love you,”
he says
as he leaves,
as he walks
through
that
wooden door

In my car
I follow

Follow his

Through
the hills

Through
the park

To a
house
of stone

I wait
as paranoia
settles in
my gut,
then I
walk to
the house
of stone

Step
Step
I quietly
step
through
the house
of stone

I hear
passion

I hear
pleasure

I feel
pain
sizzle
through me

As I kick
open that
wooden door

Crush

I could
crush
him

But
I will
do much
more
to that
slut

The slut
who stole
My love
My heart
My life

Shock
on his
face
and on
hers

They rise
from their
bed

His
sniveling
soldier
shrivels into a
small
slug

Crush

I will
crush
him
