Love Poems - 2. Spring No More

I took my love and gave it freely,
Expecting nothing but it's return
Times are hard to explain sometimes.
When the leaves turn and fall.

When all is green and full of life,
The bumps in the road are easier to climb.
Even when the days flash before your eyes,
They are easy to bear within a warm embrace.

When the road become wore with a pothole here and there,
One can still travel the miles on just a smile.
Even as the tree reaches its peek,
It still bears fruit and seeds of love.

Yet when its hard to bring forth the leaves and fruit,
When the winter is here with its wind and cold,
As the roots begin to stop stretching forth,
There is still a shade in its love, even when spring will never come.
