Dreams of Nowhere - 1. Poem

The sands, they never change,
Sifting slowly through eons,
For all the miles I've covered,
No one but I remembered,
That once, I was like you,
That I wasn't always strange,

I lost myself somewhere,
My footprints fade away,

Happiness I never knew,
This life's broken promises,
Afters the same as befores,
What else is there to fight for?
We are children of sunsets,
The oaths only death holds true,

I have long forgotten,
For whom these tears are for,

The stars, so far and cold,
They shine, but not for me,
Hopes intangible as air,
I dream these dreams of nowhere,
As I make my own way through,
This dark desert of my soul,

I have stopped asking,
Where this road will lead me,

Keeping my gaze on the glow,
Of a day that never breaks,
In this forever twilight,
With Eden just beyond sight,
Horizons never nearer,
Always one more mile to go,

Heaven has closed its doors,
Let me go home instead.

I am not emo! LOL. Just something else from the darker side of me. Written January 10, 2008, 3:13 AM Hehe
