Love Poetry - 1. Unshattered
Within this lonely heart
That is broken forever
You found a special place
That I locked away long ago
I thought I hid it well
So that no other could find
I kept it closely guarded
Because it’s all that is left
I promised myself always
That it would never be touched
But with the sound of your voice
You awoken all that I try to hide
Just the sight of you makes me wonder
How I could have ever given up
As I sit here now thinking of you
Hoping that you have me on your mind
I wish I could explain it all to you
And help you to truly understand
That after everything we have been through
You still mean so very much to me
