7.31.14 and other dates of insignificance - 2. Poem Two, Repose
Honest lying.
8.1.14
Repose
Fabricated by Foster
I got up
Cause
It hurts
The lying
In bed alone
The pain
Brings about
The shady shifting
From side to side
From minute to minute
From every forever
Lost and toss
Fondly and no longer fondled
I recall our lying together
Each of us saying, I love you
Each so damn good at
Appeasing ourselves
Lying away doubts
And fears
And the sun from rising
Again
It’s not there
With eyes closed
Satisfaction
Sad this act becomes
Light fingered repose
Lying naked becomes truth enough
And my bed squeaks in harmony of our lying there
I started standing
And then walking
And then fading
Away from lying
With you
But my bed needs an exorcism
It’s haunted some how
With my favorite lies
And when I lay myself down
To lie again
I pray a little truth
It’s Friday and just another day of lying
Honest lying.
