Poetry Prompts - 1. Poem Prompt One, Tanka, Stray

Stray

A second of light
Only a rumbling follows
Not found in the sky
A stranger lost and frightened
Whimpers at my foundation

I love this. It's sad, as most of yours. The inner person fears its own storms and lightning, that's what I see.

I'm visualizing a sad, internal voice, the inner person who is still afraid in storms and unwilling to show it.
Finding echos in the outer world that reflect the inner world is often where a poem begins. Thank you.
