Howdy y'all! These last few weeks have been busy for me, to say the least.
Without further ado, let's begin!
PHYS 2425: In Week 11, we finished up on waves. My professor went over sound waves, the Doppler Effect, and finally the superposition of waves. In Week 12, we began new material, this time on Temperature. We learned about four different temperature scales: Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and Rankine. We then learned how the raising and lowering of temperatures can a
HOWDY Y'ALL! Long time, no see! It's time for another College Week, or two in this case, lol. And guys, I'm more than half way through the semester, wohoo, I've survived so far!
Well, let's get to it!
PHYS 2425: Last week, we learned about pendulums and oscillations. And I'm surprised at how quickly it clicked with me. Usually it takes me a while to get comfortable with the concepts from my professor's lectures. Anyways, we learned about both simple and physical pend
Howdy y'all! We are now halfway through the Fall Term. So, without further ado, let's begin!
PHYS 2425: Last week, we learned about Elastic and Inelastic Collisions, and Explosions. Hear that @Page Scrawler? I learned more ways to blow up Michigan. This week we started learning about Rotational Motion. However this week was mostly devoted to preparing for Exam 2, which reminds me, I didn't really explain how these Physics Exams are graded by my professor.
So to explain,
Howdy y'all! It's time for another College Week, or two.
So, last weekend, I was simply too buried in homework to actually write up a blog post. And while I still have plenty of homework this weekend, it isn't as bad as it was last week.
So, let's get started!
PHYS 2425: In Physics, last week we learned about Energy, Conservation of Energy, and Simple Machines. This week, we learned about Linear Momentum.
MATH 2414: Last week, my class reviewed what we
Howdy y'all! Time for another College Week!
PHYS 2425: This week, my teacher taught us about forces, specifically friction. However, this was also the week that my class had our first exam. And well... I got a C. To be honest, I'm one of the lucky ones, half my class actually failed it.
MATH 2414: But not everything is doom and gloom. Where last week we learned how to differentiate inverse trigonometric functions, this week, we learned how to integrate them. Again... super fun!
Howdy y'all!
Today, I'll be going over my third week at college, so let's begin!
PHYS 2425: This week, my teacher introduced us to forces and Newton's Laws of Motion. I thought I knew them well enough, but boy, I was wrong, really wrong, lol. For our lab, we conducted an experiment to test balancing vectors in two dimensions. Basically, we attached weights to three strings and placed them each on their own pulley that were attached to a force table, then tied the strings
Howdy y'all!
Today, I'll be giving y'all a brief summary of my first two weeks at college. But, before we begin, I'll give a quick introduction and explain a few things.
First, the actual titles of my courses are long, so instead, I'll be referring to them by their Subject and Course Number. So, with that in mind:
Principles of Physics I is PHYS 2425
Calculus II is MATH 2414
Business and Professional Speaking is SPCH 1321
Introduction to Engin
Before I begin, I just want to let you all know I'm trying to keep this blog happy and positive, despite the turmoil I'm experience today.
In the summer of 2007, my family at the time had only one pet, a cat, named Shata. While she was mostly an indoors kitty, she did like to go outside every now and then. And since our neighborhood had other cats roaming the street, it wasn’t a surprise when we found out one day that she was pregnant.
Funnily enough, just the year before, m
There is no easy way to say this, but these last few days have been trying and absolutely overwhelming.
I, tried my best, to stay afloat, and go about my business as usual- like hanging out with my friends on GA and joking around with them. But, my god, it felt hollow this week. There is a hole in my heart right now, and everything has simply gotten too much for me to handle.
GA no longer felt like my home away from home, so, I faced a grim choice concerning my future on
My laptop is an Acer Aspire E 15, and I bought it in November 2014. At the time, it had Windows 8.1, which was my first encounter with anything Windows 8 related, so it took me a while to adjust to the OS.
I originally bought it for school, it would be my means of writing assignments and researching for my courses. But it didn't take long for it to also be a laptop for leisure-listening to music, watching YouTube videos, or reading GA stories. So it isn't much of a surprise to say I
I'm gonna tell you an interesting fact about my family.
On 11 February 1987, my eldest sister was born. On 12 February 1997, my little brother was born.
So this means, that for two days in a row, my family gets to eat a lot of cake! And what makes this year more fun (aside from my sister turning thirty and my brother twenty), is that it's on the weekend!
I wonder how much weight I'll gain by the end of the weekend? lol.
PS: Heeding Krista's advice, I didn't tease my sist
Today, we know π to well over the trillionth decimal place. It is a number that has shown up throughout mathematics, so it is no surprise that mathematicians have been dealing with the number for millennia.
The mathematicians of the Ancient world observed that the circumference of a circle was just over three times the diameter. So, they set out to estimate the value of π… and began a centuries long journey to take π from being “just over 3” to “3.14159265... etc.”

I'm still on cloud 9!
So, earlier this afternoon, I went to cast my vote for the 2016 Election.
For President: From the get-go, I would not be voting for either Trump or Clinton. Trump is a buffoon and too unpredictable and volatile (especially when it comes to international matters) to be our president. Clinton, she has so much baggage with an array of scandals (real or imagined) and she is too much of a warhawk for my liking. In the end, I voted for Jill Stein, because
It has been so long since I wrote an actual story, that I think it’s time that I wrote were exactly I am with it. To be honest, this was inspired by four people: Comicality, craftingmom, Parker Owens, and northie.
Yesterday, Comsie posted a topic about the harassment he experienced due to leaving some of his stories unattended to. And it got me thinking of my own stories. While I certainly never experienced any harassment over any of my stories, it made me examine how long it takes for me to
Hey everyone!
So, Wednesday morning, I woke up with an annoying ache in one of my teeth. At first, I was able to ignore it since it was more a nuisance than an actual pain, but the ache began to intensify later that afternoon and really got bad at night (to the point where I wasn't able to sleep ). Well, Thursday morning saw me at the dentist's office to make an emergency appointment, and thankfully they had a slot opened for 11:30 AM, which meant I didn't have to wait that for long.
Okay, so I just started watching this documentary series by VICE called Gaycation. It follows Ellen Page and her friend as they travel around the world exploring different countries LGBT culture.
It only has four episodes so far (Japan, Brazil, Jamaica, and the USA). I watched the Japan episode, and my goodness, I found it really interesting Ellen explored the LGBT club scene in Tokyo, the fujoshi culture (female fans of yaoi), the general attitude towards homosexuality, daily life for a ga
Today is MLK Jr. Day, so my Spring Term won't start until tomorrow. I just want to outline what my time will be like at school.
Well, I'm not taking that many classes, just 13 credit hours in total. Plus, they are spread over the week: on Monday/Wednesday my classes begin and 8:30 AM and on Tuesday/Thursday at 9:55 AM. And they end at 12:35 PM each day. What about Friday? Well... my college doesn't hold classes that day, so... three day weekend! Of course, these classes I am taking are fa
Yeah yeah, it's a bit early to post this, but many of our members in Australia and Oceania are now celebrating the final day of 2015. So, without further ado...

Have fun today and tomorrow, spending time with friends and family!
Hey everyone!
There is this site, that I used to visit a lot when I was sixteen or seventeen. Well, if Literotica and Nifty had children together, this site would have been the naughty one so, that should give y'all an idea on what the site is like
Many of its stories weren't really that great. Heck, a lot of them were more porn than plot However, like Literotica and Nifty, there were gems here and there.
One of those gems, is the reason for this blog
Back in May 2013, I ca
I was around 5 years old when I began to wear glasses, and I wasn't the lest bit happy about it Even at such a young age, I thought I looked like a dweeb
The only bright spot, at the time, was during the first grade (ages 6 to 7). At the time I wore these round glasses that, according to my classmates, made me look like Harry Potter
Well, I got used to them eventually, and soon enough I wasn't even thinking much about them.
Now, I must insert a bit of context Erm... I ain't a fas
As some of you know, my sister found an abandoned kitten a couple of days ago So I am going to give a quick update.
The night we found him, he didn't sleep well and he fidgeted a lot. By morning we found out why: the poor dear had fleas. Well we gave him a bath, and we managed to get rid of most of the fleas during that. However, some still clung on and so for the next hour or so we watched him to take the remaining fleas one by one as they too died.
So, now he is flea-free
Now,
I'll probably forget to post this tomorrow morning so, I'll go ahead and post this now
Tomorrow will be an interesting day for the UK and the Commonwealth realms, because on 9 September 2015, Queen Elizabeth II will become the longest reigning monarch in British history.
So, Congratulations Queen Elizabeth II!
God, I hate that I am going to talk about politics so soon. But today calls for it.
Today, I saw something that shocked, hurt, and pained me. So, I left a long comment on it. I have no idea if it will be posted... so I am posting a similar piece on here.
I am a young man that champions the "Freedom of Speech" and I live by Voltaire's "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." but what I saw really tested my resolve. I do not merely disagree
On this day, June 29, 2015, I celebrate one year as a member of GA.
To mark this day, I want to take a look at how I became a member, reflect on my first year, and take a guess at my future here.
Becoming a Member: One day in early June, I was perusing through Nifty's SF-Fantasy section and I came across a story called Your Alpha, My Mate. It was just one chapter at the time, and I read it and I was hooked. Of course, the author added a note that she would add on soon. W
