The article makes it seem like this is some new phenomenon. Party & Play (PnP as its called here in the US) has been around for a very long time. 

yes well this IS the BBC  like the theater although the luvvies ran it anthing "gay" was always kept under the carpet & very hush hush ... they are slightly more open these days - independent radio & tv have had it splashed all around since day 1
