Technology is a fundamental aspect of everyday life, integrated technology has made our world closer and far more open to all people, including those that would use this technology in organized attacks against different groups that they oppose.

Yes, I am using a traditional antagonist of Gay fiction in my story, the old Christian Fundamentalist, but I am also writing it in a way of personal reflection and understanding. While in defense of LGBT people, I personally would fight tooth and nail; however, in regards to other issues like Abortion, I've met many people who share a fundamental ideal that if they do not protect innocent lives from harm, no one else will.

One stereotype that has been kept up by Liberal media is that Christian Fundamentalists are redneck hicks with little to no real knowledge of the world or even technology. I would argue against that at least from the Northern and Industrial settings I am familiar with, technology plays a big role in "evangelizing" the flock and keeping in contact. Anti-Abortion Christian groups, unlike anti-gay groups of old days, are far more tech-savvy and there are a few hackers among their ranks. One other important fact about this new kind of Christian Fundamentalist, they know the mistakes of the past and won't repeat them, it's better to attack in the shadows than strike openly.

Due to this knowledge, I had an idea about 2 years ago to write a story involving a group with the skills, but with a different focus and less concentration, Can LGBT people meet the 21st century challenge, if they were attacked, not merely physically, but constantly in a war of information, psychology, and ultimately clandestine strategies?

To this end, I created a new kind of Gay activist or Hacktivist as you will; a character with the intellect of Leonardo Da Vinci, the wit of Truman Capote, and a will forged in the fire of loss. Hunter Douglas is my answer to this Call to Arms, along with several others, who you will meet as my story progresses. A teenage tech mogul is not out of the question or out of the potential of reality, if given the right incentives. He can act like an adult when needed, but he is still a 15 year old kid with certain "limits".

What drives Hunter is a sense for Justice and fairness; if he wanted revenge, he could have planned out the murders of the people that killed Ryan, his boyfriend who committed suicide due to concentrated Cyber Bullying from this group of Fundamentalists, but he did not.

My story is not a story about Revenge, instead it is a story about finding justice in a world that has mutually extended conflicts that prevent it from being reached. It is a story about providing evidence, hunting through dark places like the "Deep Net".
