Beyond, all that, as many members have said, this is supposed to be a forum for discussion of Gay stories and the Mission statement speaks to that:Mission StatementThe purpose of this site is to support authors and readers of the Gay Male stories by hosting author websites, a discussion board for Authors, Editors, Readers and Review seekers, and a list of links to other authors and story hosting sites.There are many other sites that one can join for other issues...to me, its that plainly simple and clear.Michael
Michael raises an interesting question. What is the scope of the forum? Is it a broad group of friends who meet here to share views of all types, or is it a narrow group focussed solely on stories? I did a brief review of the forum and the most active postings, interestingly enough, were those dealing with members and their personal issues, whether they're job troubles, boyfriend troubles, or simply birthday greetings. It seems that the reality of the forum contradicts it's mission statement. Personally, I think that's a good thing. A community is much better, IMO, than a board of more narrow focus.

I would like to think of us as agroup of adults/friends who can communicate our opinions in a safe and mature way, providing we all understand that everyone equally has that right and desire to do so as well. Whether we are discussing a story, an article, or something personal, I myself, like to know what other people think.
