Guest jamieanderson Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Is there ant way to increase the font size when reading posts? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Being elderly and hard of sight, I just use the browser setting for format size. It seems to increase most things. Of course you can always try the windows handicapped settings, if you are really desperate. Jamie.
BillM Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Yep, that's the easiest way to do it. If you're not sure how to then click on 'View' and then text size to alter your settings.
WoodCarver Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 I don't know if this thread will get viewed but anyway... I use a product called "Liquid Surf". I's better than just increasing font size in the view menu. That doesn't always work, if the Webmaster codes his site with an actual font size #px instead of #em that it breaks. It doesn't help with anything but text anyway. Liquid Surf scales from 75% to 250% and works on everything on the page, except the text cursor, that's hardcoded into the Windows GUI. Liquid Surf is available here. There are other options for viewing web pages. Take a look. Oh... and it's trialware. You can try before you buy.
Navigator Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 Pity. They only made it for Internet Explorer. Lazy company. Myr can change the default settings of the board so it will display larger.
ethan thorn Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 thats way i like mozilla you can pick the size of the fonts and the colors.
Site Administrator Myr Posted September 6, 2004 Site Administrator Posted September 6, 2004 Nav: 1) yes, but it is not that easy. Changing one setting blows a whole bunch of others totally out of whack. It takes a lot of time to tweak those settings correctly 2) We are running beta software where the skin style/settings are going to change, hence why there is very little customization at the moment. The new version is due out in final form next week. Hopefully, after next weekend, this will no longer be an issue and we will have multiple colors to choose from. Myr
boy on a string Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Eathen, is there a site for mozilla? Boy on a String
ethan thorn Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 (edited) http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.7/ that is the new ver. of mozilla if you like betas then you can find 1.8 on that site but 1.7 is a final ver. Edited September 7, 2004 by ethan thorn
Sparhawk Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I have to agree with Ethan. Firefox moxillia's browser has become my favorite. It really is one of the most flexable browsers I have ever used.
Navigator Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I never said it was easy, just that you could do it.
