Menzoberranzen Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I like this piece in a very vague way; It's hard to pin-point why I like it. It's succinct, straightforward and almost feels like it's a few stanzas from a larger piece. Very nice. Menzo
Jason Rimbaud Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 You're right Menzo, Lateral Guilt is, for lack of a better word, a small interlude right in the middle of a much longer piece. I think of it as a bridge from one piece to the next. This super poem, fifty-three pieces total, was written last year and told a single story chronicling the summer I turned 24. I can't believe you picked up on that, kind of amazing but very cool. That leads me to believe that you really like to read poetry, and that you try to understand it as well. Nice. Thanks for the words Jason R.
AFriendlyFace Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Well, I was going to agree with Menzo...but now it'll just look like I'm ripping him off in terms of insight In any case, I like it as well and did note that it seemed to be a part of the saga you discuss in your other poems. Well done, Kevin
