Mark Arbour Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Greetings everyone! Some members of my yahoo group asked me to do a sequel to "Chronicles of an Academic Predator" and one of the suggestions was to start the sequel 5 years later in 1968. That appealed to me primarily because 1968 was such a chaotic and exciting year. Think about it. In one year we saw the largest battle of the Vietnam War (TET), the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia to crush the "Prague Spring", and the election of Richard Nixon as President. For those of you who read it, I welcome your thoughts and comments. For those of you who lived through that year, I'd really like to hear your feedback about the way I've represented historical events.
Mark Arbour Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Anyone around when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated? I'd like to know what the reaction of the populace was. I mean, with MLK there were massive riots. Did the same thing happen when RFK was killed?
