Some members of my yahoo group asked me to do a sequel to "Chronicles of an Academic Predator" and one of the suggestions was to start the sequel 5 years later in 1968. That appealed to me primarily because 1968 was such a chaotic and exciting year. Think about it. In one year we saw the largest battle of the Vietnam War (TET), the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia to crush the "Prague Spring", and the election of Richard Nixon as President. For those of you who read it, I welcome your thoughts and comments. For those of you who lived through that year, I'd really like to hear your feedback about the way I've represented historical events. Link to comment
