This is where I've been living the past 3ish years. Long Beach has the most pride anywhere around.

My granddad lived in Long Beach (he lives in Lakewood now) and went to Wilson High School. My dad was born and raised in Long Beach (he lives in the SF East Bay now) and also went to Wilson High School.

 

A big WAY TO GO! to these kids from Wilson High.

I really liked Long Beach when I went there. I have a friend who works at the Aquarium of the Pacific, and some of her colleagues took part in a "It gets better" video.

The comments after the video are funny - some one asked if they were chanting "Balls Deep" when they were chanting "Long Beach" too funny.

I liked all the signs, too! And the cops were amusing.

 

Last year, I saw the police setting up for a demonstration, hanging out on their bikes and waiting for the demonstrators. Too bad this particular video was several months earlier than the time I was thinking of. Still, it's amusing.
