Hetalia: An extremely hilarious Anime

This Anime is very funny and short at 5 minutes an episode (You have to watch up to episode 20, then you will get hooked on the humor); it makes fun of nations and cultural idiosyncrasies.

 

The plot basically turn nations and countries into characters. The first series deals with World War II Allies and Axis, and the second series deals with more modern issues.

It's like a more politically incorrect version of the old American Cartoon "hysteria" with a little more satire and overt gay references.

 

This episode about Switzerland and Lichtenstein made me think of old bob, didn't know Switzerland was so nice to a little Lichtenstein :

 

 

Seriously, there's some fun cultural notes in these episodes that are both funny and interesting.

 

I know the material is offensive at times to cultural sensitivity, but it's so cute. Also, Italy is such a bottom in this series
